"Are you sure about this man?" Andrew asked as he pulled up his silver mustang in front of an abandoned looking apartment building at the very edge of town. If anything, the building was in front of the woods, and that creeped him out even more. Israel nodded his head beside him, trying to calm his breathing. "This place gives me the spooks, Izzy." The older male shuddered as he looked the area through the car window. "I mean, you're always welcome to room with me. I'm sure Kate won't mind."

Israel chuckled and shook his head

Israel chuckled and shook his head. "I appreciate that, I really do," he took a deep breath before looking at the large house, "but this is my first step to becoming independent after leaving my parents' house." The building looked old, but he knew that the outside appearance of something never indicated that the inside was the same. He felt a leap in his stomach, feeling excited to finally get his own place. "Plus," he said over his shoulder with a smile at his best friend, "I wouldn't want to make your girlfriend more awkward than she is if I was there." Andrew laughed and punched him jokingly on the shoulder.

"Good point," he snickered, "so... Should I go in with you or do you want me to stay here?" Israel shrugged.

"You wanna come?" The other male grinned.

"Well what're we waiting for?" He laughed and turned off the engine. "It's not every day I get to go inside a haunted house."

"It's not haunted," Israel defended as he got out of the car, the other male doing the same, "it's just old."

"Then why's it in the middle of the woods?" Andrew countered matter of factly with arms crossed as they walked to the front door. Israel shrugged.

"Privacy reasons?"

"Plus," Andrew held up a finger as Israel knocked on the door, "why are there no cars around here?" He raised an eyebrow. "I'm pretty sure at least one of the tenants here can drive!"

"Shut up," Israel chuckled and punched his arm when the heavy door started to open, "you're being rude." When the door fully opened, they were greeted by a girl around their age with long, brown/blonde hair and glasses. She had a wide grin on her lips and an excited look in her eyes. She was wearing a green and yellow sundress with gold flats.

"Hi!" She beamed at them and the males were slightly taken back by her gleeful greeting. She held up a finger and moved it from Israel to Andrew and back to Israel. "Are one of you the newcomers?" Israel blinked before licking his lips and clearing his throat.

"Uh, yes," the blue eyed male nodded and then smiled, "I'm here for a tour with Doreen for the vacant room." They saw her eyes widen before her grin got wider, if that was even possible.

"Oh, okay!" She beamed and moved to the side to let them in. "Please, come in! Don't be shy, you'll be living here soon!" She laughed jovially as the two males walked in, their eyes widening and jaws dropping at the sight. "Just wait in the living room, I'll go call Doreen." And with that, she skipped away, leaving the two males dumbfounded.
