So, the principal just told us in an announcement that we are going "under lockdown", but he said to leave our bags OUTSIDE the classroom.
I think they just want to check people's bags (otherwise that'd be seriously counterproductive). Maybe a kid tipped the staff on drugs or somesuch. I'd be more ok(ish) about this if they had just said they were doing backpack checks, but no, and they don't even want us around to see them do it.
Not that I don't trust the staff or have anything of substantial fiscal value in my bag, but I'd like to at least make sure nothing is STOLEN.
Update: They have dogs. Its a drug search.
