I put the milk and cereal away and turn on the tv.

"On another case, there has been yet another murder at the Crow-Ridge High School," the news reporter says.

"Another one?" I mumble.

"We have yet to find the murderer of all the past killed girls.  Come back tonight for more information,"  I shut the tv off and finish getting ready.   I run out to the bus stop and wait patiently.  After about 5 minutes I check my watch.  7:25.  There was no way I could have missed the bus.  I watch as a car drives closer and closer to me.

"Cameron?"  someone says from inside the car.  I walk towards the car and see Amber.  15. The number floated above her head.  She was the first person with such a high number.

"Yeah?" I ask, leaning through the open window.

"Did you miss the bus? I can give you a ride," she says.

"Yeah that'd be awesome," I say, opening the door and getting into her car.   I glance at her and notice her blushing.  A lot.

"Um.  Amber? Are you ok?"  I ask.

"Oh! Um yeah... I'm fine," she says.  She doesn't look at me so I  look away from her.  The car ride was mostly silent, other than the quiet music playing on our local radio station.  We get to the school and I get out.

"Hey thanks for the ride," I say.

"It's... No problem!" Amber says happily.

"Do you think you could drop me off tonight too?" I ask.

"Sure," she says.

"Cool.  Thanks.  Talk to you after school then!" I say, and start walking towards the school.

I get to my locker and grab my books.  I head to first period.  Class goes by super slow. The bell rings and I go to my locker to change books.  I struggle getting my lock off.   "Ughhh," I groan, slamming my head against the locker.  I try for a few more minutes but I hear a high pitch scream.  I look up and walk to the other hallway.  Halfway there I see Amber and right as I see her, she sees me.  She quickly puts her hands behind her back.

"Oh... Uh Cameron!" she says.  She nervously giggles.

"Did you hear that scream?" I ask.

"Yeah! I was just about to go check it out," She says.

"Wait why aren't you in class?" I ask.

"I...  My... I was in class... but I... needed to use the bathroom," she stutters.  I nod, not believing her.

"Cameron,  I can tell you don't believe me, but please you have to understand," she says, looking into my eyes.
