Finally, the bell for lunch break rang.
Sahil : khaane nehin chalegi? ????
Me ( tired ): naa. ....maan nehin hai. ...tum jao! !!!!
Saying this, I put my head down ,on the desk .
After 5 minutes, again he asked me "khaane nehin jaogi? ????"
Me ( irritated ) : mujhe nehin khaana. ....tum jao Sahil! !!!!
The voice "kaun Sahil? ??????"
Instantly, I raised my head and found Manik standing in front of me, with an annoyed look.
I looked around myself, and found the whole class gaping at us.
Me ( pov ) ( pissed off ) : what is wrong with these people? ????.....actually. ....what is wrong with Manik? ????......yeh yaha pein kya kar raha hai? ????.....and why is he giving me that annoyed look? ??????
Manik ( serious ) : Sahil kaun hai? ????
Me : mera dost
Manik ( interrogating ): ladka hai? ????.....kya karta hai????.....usska pura naam kya hai? ????.....kya woh drink karta hai? ????.......aur smoking? ???.....usse smoking ki adaat hai kya? ???......aur drugs? ?????
Me ( annoyed ) : bass bass. ....aapna interrogation band karo. ....he is just a good friend. ...koi mafia nehin hai woh. ....joh tum itna sawaal pouch rahe ho! !!!!.....waise tum yaha pein kya kar rahe ho? ?????......aapna tumhe kya chahiye? ??????
Manik ( with his shy smile ) : tum chahiye! !!!!
On listening to this, my jaws dropped.
Me ( pov ) : usse. ....main chahiye? ????.....matlab? ?????
Manik ( smirking ) : it was just a joke !!!!
With a breath of sigh, I rolled my eyes.
Manik ( innocently ) : main yaha baith sakta hu? ????
Annoyed, I just nodded my head in a yes.
Sitting in front of me, Manik looked a little nervous.
Me ( pov ) ( pissed off ) : isse kya chahiye? ????.....aur yeh students? ?????......innko kya taklif ho rahi hai? ?????.....aise stare kar rahe hai manno. ....abhi mujhe khaa jaenge! !!!!!!
Manik ( seriously ) : Principal ma'am aur main. .....chahte hai ki. ....tum humein as a STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBER. ....join karo! !!!!!
Me ( pov ) : main. ....STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBER. ....kyon? ?????.....what is wrong with you ayyappa? ?????.....aap kaise kaise din dikha rahe ho! !!!!!
Me : tumhe seriously laagta hai ki mujhe. ...STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBER baana chahiye? ???...... I mean. ....main joh uniform taak theek se nehin pehenti. .....hamesha late line mein hoti hu . ....adhe se zyaada time toh main classes bunk karti hu. .....aur saare teachers mujhko leke pareshaan hai! !!!!......mujh jaisa insaan kaise STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBER baan sakta hai! !!!!!!
I could clearly see that Manik was pretty convinced by my lecture. Well, my lecture was 80 %false and 20 %true. Then also, I made my point very clear to Manik.
I never bunked my classes and disrespecting teachers is something ,that I would never do .
But then, I don't want to be a STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBER,also. Manik after few seconds, calmly said " we would still want you to join us "
Me ( pissed off ) : why me? ????.....itne saare students toh hai iss college mein. ....kisi se bhi jaake STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBER baane ke liye bolo. ....I am sure. ....that they are more deserving than me! !!!!
Manik ( serious ) : tum deserving ho! !!!!.....issliye hi hum tumhe yeh position offer kar rahe hai! !!!!!
Me ( rolling my eyes ) : oh really! !!!!......suddenly maine aisa kya kaam kar diya. ....ki you all are interested in me so much! !!!!!
Manik ( calmly ) : because you helped us to catch Harshad and his gang red handed. ....
Me ( full panic mode ): what? ?????.....maine aisa kab kiya? ?????.....maine aisa kuch nehin kiya! !!!!!!......main toh usse janti bhi nehin hu! !!!!.....waise Harshad. ....yeh naam maine pehele bhi  kahi sunna hai! !!!!!
Manik ( explaining ): Harshad woh ladka hai. ...joh uss din tumhari ragging kar raha tha! !!!
After thinking for a while, I blurted out " oh! !!!!.....the only guy who was sitting on the bench! !!!!......jisne tumse baat bhi ki thi! !!!!"
Manik just nodded his head in a yes.
Me ( instinctively ) : so that is Harshad. ....the ugly frog prince! !!!!!
Looking at Manik, I found him giggling helplessly.
Me ( annoyed ) : what? ??????
Manik ( smiling ) : your power to use adjectives are really interesting.....Nandini. ....
Saying this, he stood up and patted my head.
But, for the first time, I didn't hit him.
Manik ( with his shy smile ) : I want to see you as a STUDENT COUNCIL MEMBER. .....so. ...for once. ....please think about it. ...Nandini
He said these words in such a way, as if he was pleading to me.
Saying this, he left from there and I busied myself in other thoughts.
