Looking over at the small cottage by the waterfall, the young man felt a sense of regret, and longing. For so long he had searched for his friend, and to learn he'd forgotten it all sent a stray arrow through his heart. All the good memories of the past before the incident were just gone, erased from his memory.
"Curse you Lucem... One day I'll bring him back, you just wait. The Unclaimed Lands wants its free spirited prince back. Just you wait...." He muttered, turning to walk away on his path to Lucem's Crown City, his companion leaning against a tree waiting not far from the cottage.
"Did you talk to him, Bono?" They asked, crossing their arms.
"No, Chichi. I couldn't bring myself to. I know what they did, and there's no way he'd remember us. This kingdom is a land of lies." He responded, shaking his head. A tear rolled down his face, but he continued walking anyways. "We'll meet him at the Guild in a few days time, don't worry. That's when we'll bring him back."
"I wouldn't say that, he's never been one to blindly listen to people." Chichi added, a sigh falling from their mouth. "Do you think he'll actually come with us?"
"I know he will. I mean, some part of him might remember us. I don't think Despo would ever fully forget."
"Then you too are blind with corruption."
