"Maria."

I wrote done my number on a piece of paper that I found in my purse. "Maria, I know that we just met big if you or Kevin ever need anything don't hesitate to call me."

"Thank you, Darshay. Thanks a lot."

I smiled and walked behind the nurse into the back area.

"Hello, Darshay!" My doctor greeted me, giving a brief hug. "How are you today?"

"I'm fine, Doctor Green. How are you?"

"I'm fine too, Darshay. Shall we get started?"

"Yes, I'm ready."

"I'm going to check your weight and blood sugar before we check on your little one, okay?"

I smiled a little. Just a little. "Alright, want me to stand on the scale?"

"Yeah, get up on there, girly." She said, moving around the buttons on the scale. "You've gained five pounds since you were here last. That's a very good process."

"Am I going to gain a lot of weight during this pregnancy?"

"Some women do and some don't. It just depends on how your body works."

I stepped off the scale and sat back down so she could check my blood pressure. She wrapped the cuff around my arm and squeezed until she couldn't squeeze anymore.

"Hm, your blood pressure is a tad bit high."

"I'm eating all the right foods."

"It could be because of stress or you were just nervous."

"Oh, well I have been a little stressed out since I found out that I'm pregnant."

"Well it's bad for the baby. Maybe taking some yoga classes or doing activities that you enjoy will relieve your stress."

"I'll take a look at it."

"Now, are you ready too look at your little one?" She asked, smiling in my face.

"Yeah, I guess." I said, rolling up my shirt.

Doctor Green discussed how the procedure would go and how it worked, She squeezed out the gel on my belly and Lord let me tell you, it was cold as hell!

"How many months am I?" I asked as she started rubbing the stick around my belly.

"You're nine weeks." She replied.

"Nine weeks? Oh my God that's two months and a week!" I exclaimed.

"Some woman don't find out that they're pregnant until they're five months," She said. "Look, that's your baby right there!"

"That small little thing?"

"Yeah, it's still a little fetus. You can see it's arms right there."

"When do I come back to find out the gender?"

"When you're five months. Want to here it's heart beat?"

I nodded my head yes. A few seconds later, I heard a strong thumping noise. I swear it made my heart melt.

"This is so unreal," I said, tearing up a bit. "There's actually a baby inside of me."

"Are you happy?" Doctor Green asked.

I nodded my head and wiped away some of the tears. "I truly am happy. Is my baby healthy?"

"It's very healthy. You keep taking good care of him or her."

"Can you print out some pictures?"

"Of course I can. How many copies would you like?"

"Three, please." I rolled my shirt down and rubbed my belly. I was barely showing at all.

"I know this is a bit personal, but as far as your baby how are you going to financially support him or her? And who is going to be your support system?"

I sighed. "Well I'm going to be looking for a job so I can save up before the baby gets here. I'm currently in college so whenever I don't have classes I can work those days. As far as support, I have my mother and my friends. I'm not really sure about the baby's father."

"You know having a baby isn't going to be easy, right?"

"Yeah, I know but I have to anything for my child, right?"

Doctor Green smiled. "I'm sure you'll be a great mother, Darshay."

"Thank you, Doctor Green. I'll try my hardest."

"Well, you'll need to schedule a appoint next month. I'll see you later, Darshay."

"Okay, Doctor Green. Thank you for everything."

Chresanto

I'm starting to get worried. Jamie hasn't came home with Lani in three days. I called her so many times and she hasn't answered. I even tried calling her parents but they said that haven't heard a word from her. I don't even care about her, I just want Lani back.

"Is she answering your calls, ma?" I asked my mother.

"No, Chres," She said, sighing. "It's ringing then going to voicemail."

I groaned. "How about you, Christy? Is she answering any of your texts?"

"No, she's not answering them but she's reading them."

"What time did she read them?"

I heard a knock on the door. "Keep trying her you guys, I'll get the door."

I opened the door and Brielle stood there with a worried look on her face. She walked inside and gave me a hug. "I came right over here as soon as I got you text message."

"Thanks," I said, hugging her back. "We haven't go in touch with her yet."

"I'll stay here and help, Chresanto."

"No, it's fine, Brielle. I know you probably already have plans with Christopher you don't have to stay."

"Stop being so salty, Chresanto. I'm here to help. Don't make me regret it."

I chuckled. "C'mon, babe."

Brielle rolled her eyes. "Don't get slapped, Chresanto."

"Hello, Brielle," My mom greeted Brielle, hugging her. "How are you?"

"I'm great, Ms Wright! How are you?"

"Just trying to find my grand baby. That's it."

"I came to help you guys if that's fine."

"The more the merrier." She said, smiling.
