I'm Octavia Brooks and I'm 17. I attend Ocean High which is weird because it's not near an ocean, but that's besides the point. I live in Texas and I just started my junior year of high school. I'm super excited to go back to school because I get to see my best friend Abby, whom I haven't seen all summer. Today is my first day back and I can't wait. I haven't really decided what I'm going to wear so whatever I find is what I'm wearing. After I got dressed I brushed my teeth and went downstairs to eat breakfast, as I was eating my dad walked in looking grumpy and drowsy.
"Good morning dad" I said.
My dad just ignored me like I wasn't even there, so I decided to grab my stuff and get in my car. On the way to school I started to feel super drowsy and tired, which was super weird because just a few minutes ago I was super exciting to go to school. Ten minutes had passed and I started to feel better and I spent the rest of the time driving listening to music. Five minutes later I arrived at school and there was no parking at all. I had to park my car in front of a fire hydrant in front of the school. After I finished parking I got out of my car and walked to the entrance of the school which was surrounded by students, I was kinda nervous because it was the first day back. When I entered the school I looked around for my best friend whom was no where to be found, I was super shocked because normally Abby is waiting for me by her locker or by the door of the entrance. I waited five minutes by the entrance, but then I decided to go inside and put my stuff in my locker.
As I was putting my stuff in my locker I felt someone grab my shoulders, when I turned around it was my best friend Abby Peterson whom I've known pretty much my whole life, she's like a sister to me. Abby and I talked until the bell rang, and when it did I went to my first class which was Chemistry. I hated chemistry because the chemistry lab was on the very top floor, and I had to climb up 14 flights of stairs. When I reached chemistry class, I was the first one there so I waited about five minutes until everyone else started to come in. Of course I already had chosen a seat. As people started coming in I had noticed this one kid who was super cute his name was Peter Peterson. I got up from my seat and walked over to him.
"Hey Peter" I said with a big smile on my face.
"Hey Katherine, how was your summer?" Peter asked.
" My summer was amazing, how about yours?"I asked in curiosity.
" My summer was amazing, I went hiking, swimming, biking, camping, jet skiing, and zip lining." Peter said in excitement.
"Cool!" I said in excitement.
After me and Peter talked for about five minutes Mrs.Olsen our chemistry teacher walked in. Everyone rushed to their seats.
"Good morning class" Mrs. Olsen said in joy.
"Good morning Mrs.Olsen!!!"the class said in unison.
" Welcome go another year at Ocean High, I hope everyone had a great summer!" Mrs.Olsen said.
"Today we're going to learn......" before Mrs. Olsen could finish her sentence the bell ring and it was time to go to our next class.
The day went smoothly and quickly. Before I knew it it was time to go home. When the last bell rang, I ran out the class and to my car as fast as I could. When I got to my car I noticed that I has received a ticket for parking in front of a fire hydrant. Oh come on a ticket seriously I thought to myself as I was getting into my car. The car ride home was boring because I decided not to play music. About ten minutes later I had arrived home and I noticed there was a black car in our driveway, and that was weird because my parents don't drive a black Honda. I knew something was wrong I just didn't know exactly what.
Tune in to see what happens when Katherine opens her front door. What does she find? Tune in to find out.
