Now maharana Udai Singh was now very happy as he was going to be a father very soon. There was lot of joy in the palace of chittor and in districts of Mewar as their heir apartment (uttradhikari or yuvaraj) was going to take birth. On May 9 1540 in the palace of Kumbahgald, Mewar gave birth to the strongest and first freedom fighter of India. Now udai Singh and Jayvanta Bai were very happy as they had given birth to a boy. There were lot of celebration in the kingdom. Udai Singh and Jayvanta Bai. Named the boy pratap. As time passed pratap grew up and was loved by his parents and the people (praja) of Mewar because of his kindness and strength. He was very kind to others, especially  to his brothers. At that time Mewar was surrendered to the Afghan Sher Sha Suri by maharana Udai Singh. After surrendering Sher Sha Suri gave Udai singh his fort back on one condition in which Udai Singh should give him  some annual tribute.So, both the kings agreed to terms and conditions. His descendant Shams Khan carried out the same thing Sher Sha did. After some months, Pratap grew up into a young handsome boy.One day his young mother(choti maa) rani Dheerbai batiyani (the youngest wife of maharana Udai singh)  wanted some raw mango,but as it was not the season of raw mangoes, as she wanted the mangoes, Pratap could not say no to his choti maa. So he went to Sajabai (Manjali maa) for getting the place where the mangoes will be growing
