"I'm home" I yell so Luke can hear me

"Hey" he say as he comes out of the basement

"You don't have to stay down there all day" I tell him

"It's fine" he shrugs "How was school?"

"It was good"

"What's that" he points at the bag I'm holding

"O um this girl at school bought me a dress to wear to the party I haven't looked at it yet"

"That was nice of her. Let's have a look" he smirks

I open the bag and pull out a short black skin tight dress, why would Mary buy this it's not me I don't even know how it's going to fit

"Wow" I hear Luke say

"I'm not wearing this" I shake my head

"Come on it was nice of her to buy it for you and I'm sure it will look good on you"

"I'm going to look like a hooker"

"A high class hooker" he laughs

"Not funny Luke" I glare

"Sorry" he stops laughing

"I'm not going" I say as I shove the dress back
in the bag

"You should go it will be fun"

"Let's just watch the iron man movies" I whine

"As much fun as that sounds I think you should go you'll regret it if you don't" he says

"Ugh fine" I roll my eyes

"You will have a great time" he insist

We go upstairs to my bathroom he sits on the edge of the bathtub while I curl my hair

"Were you popular you know when you were in school?" I ask him

"Uh I wasn't really popular but I did have some friends and went to parties and stuff" he shrugs

There's so many questions I have for him but he will tell me if he wants

"Can you help me with the back of my hair?" I ask him

"Yes of course" he smiles

He gets up and grabs the curling iron

"I hope I don't burn your hair off or anything" he laughs

I can't help but think what if I do something stupid or say the wrong thing at this party

I'm going to be that awkward girl that hangs by herself in the corner

LUKE POV

I can tell she nervous about this party but she should go, she should enjoy life

"Stop over thinking" I laugh

"Im not"she huff

I can't help but smirk

"There" I say as I curl the last piece

"Thank you" she tells me

"Anytime"

I sit back down on the edge of the bathtub and watch her put on her makeup

"I'm not really good at this" she says about the makeup

"I don't know if I can help with that Id probably make you look like a clown" I laugh I see her try not to smile

I wonder how she can see me, what makes her different? I don't know that much about her. She seems nice though and I feel comfortable around her

She concentrating so hard trying to make sure her makeup is perfect

"Okay I'm done" she says

She turns to me "okay I'm going to put on the dress" she tells me

"Okay I'll be out here" I walk out of the bathroom and go and sit on her bed, most everything in here is still in boxes

"Hey um could you um help me zip it" I look up at her, she looks amazing

I realize I'm staring "yeah of course" I clear my throat

I get up and walk behind her, I try not to stare
I quickly zip it up

"There" I say as I walk back and sit on the bed

"Thanks" I can tell she blushing

She puts on a pair of heels "I'm going to trip and break my neck in these things"
