"You're Connie Beauchamp?"

She raised an eyebrow at Jacob. Clearly startled by his early appearance. He wasn't supposed to be at hers for at least another two hours, someone was eager.

Jacob looked away from her, clearly very embarrassed for asking the older woman such a ridiculously obvious question.

"I'm so sorry.." he murmured.

"It's fine, don't worry. You took me a little off guard that's all. Yes, my name is Connie Beauchamp. I'm afraid you were supposed to be staying with my parent's, but they have jetted off on holiday for the next few weeks, so you will have to put up with me.. Anyway, don't apologize, I would just like to know who you are" she said politely.

"My name is Jacob. You look pretty familiar. Have we met before?"

"Jacob Masters, right?" she asked.

He nodded.

Her eyes widened as the realisation had finally hit her. This was the young boy she used to babysit all those years ago. He had turned into a man. He looked absolutely nothing like she remembered. Last time she saw him was at least 10 years ago, maybe even more. He had grown up so much. Although he was two years younger than Connie, he somewhat seemed to be so much more mature. He was a child that last time she saw him, he most certainly wasn't a child anymore.

His hair was short and freshly trimmed. His baby face was no more. He had a strong black beard that made him look that little bit more masculine. He had grown so much, he must be at least 6ft. He was dressed in some light blue skinny jeans with a white Adidas t-shirt and some black swade Adidas trainers. She looked him up and down, assuming that he liked going to the gym. If his body was to go by, then it was pretty obvious.

"Oh my word!" she said loudly. Running her fingers through her hair. "You're Helen and Steve's son, aren't you?"

Jacob nodded again, a crimson shade running over his cheeks as he looked to see Connie still staring at him. He actually began to feel quite uncomfortable, her gaze was so intense. He had never been looked at by anybody else as the same way Connie was looking at him.
