Pareho silang pagod na pagod, physically and emotionally drained due to the events leading to this day. They both flopped on the bed, not bothering to change, and fell asleep in each other's arms.

Maine was jolted awake by her vibrating phone. She opened her eyes to a brightly lit room, shoot! Ang liwanag na! What time is it? Nakalimutan nila mag-alarm!

Eeeeeepppp!!! 9:49am!!! She saw ate Pat's missed call. Then she saw several missed calls from her parents, her siblings! Her head throbbed!

She mildy shook Alden awake. He was also surprised at the sun-drenched room. But he's still very sleepy.

"Late na tayo, as in, di tayo aabot sa Bulaga."

"Okay, let me call them na lang."

"And, andaming tawag nila Nanay, sobrang dami, nakalimutan ko silang i-text kagabi."

"Galit ba? Ako na mag-eexplain sa kanila. Tara, let's move."

"They all thought nagtanan tayo. Your dad is in Bulacan right now."

"Ano? Seryoso?"

He stopped to look at her, then gave a broad grin. Kilig trese anyos na naman! He went back to sit beside her on the bed, holding her hand then raised it to his lips.

"Nagtanan na pala tayo di man lang natin alam."

"Hay naku! Parang fiesta lang ng problema ngayon ano? Patong patong! How can they automatically jump to that conclusion?"

"Let's move na, I don't want them to worry."

Her parents, Daddy Bae and Lola Linda are all in the sala waiting for them. Maine started to feel nervous at the seriousness of all their faces.

Alden's hand tightened his hold on her hand. They sat down and looked at their parents nervously. Di naman mukhang galit, pero sobrang seryoso nila. They didn't dare kiss anyone.

"Alam namin marami kayong problema, alam namin ang stress na dinadala nyo. Sana lang, hindi sa ganitong paraan niyo ginawa. Sobrang pag-aalala ang binigay nyo sa amin." Nanay started.

"Pasensya na po talaga, di po namin sinasadya na bigyan kayo ng problema. Nakatulog po kami dahil sa pagod." Alden replied.

But somehow, his words brought a flush to both their fathers' faces. They both realized how they interpreted his words, Ooops! Maine gave his hand a squeeze. He cleared his throat and tried again.

"Alam nyo naman po yung intensyon ko kay Maine. Nagkapatong patong lang problema namin and we felt the need to be together. Hindi ko kaya wala sya sa tabi ko."

"So anong solusyon nyo ngayon? Pagkatapos ng lahat?" Tatay asked, not looking at them directly.

"Magpapakasal na po kami, kahit civil lang muna para mabilis."

Maine looked at him in confusion. She was surpried at how happy Alden looks. His eyes sparkling. They have been engaged for 18 months now, they were just waiting for their schedule to ease up to finally set the date. But God has other plans.

"Doon na rin naman kami papunta. And dahil po sa problemang hinaharap namin ngayon, mas kakayanin ko kung magkasama kami lagi."

"Sige, tatawagan ko yung kamag-anak ko na judge. Pero di ba gusto nyo secret muna? So, ito na muna gagawin natin." Tatay said, reaching for his phone.

The air cleared immediately after that. But, Maine became really uncomfortable when Nanay and Daddy Bae started talking about babies.

"Umm, di pa po kami magkaka-anak agad agad. I-paplano muna namin, Nay." Maine said shyly.

"Mas maganda maaga mag-umpisa magka-baby, di ba, Balae?" Daddy Bae said.

"Kung mangyayari at ibibigay agad sa 'min ang baby, why not? All in God's time." Alden quipped.

Whew! Pinagpapawisan ako sa usapan na 'to! Wala pa nga, baby na agad? Maine mused. She started to accept the fact that their parents assumed something happened.

But Alden's right, now is a good time as any. Mas gusto din nya kasama si Alden through all this mess. At least makapag-brain storm sila on what to do.

Nakakatulog lang sya ng maayos if they're together. Tatay said the marriage license will be ready by tomorrow, his cousin had to pull some strings to make that possible.

Since their parents & lola are there, they decided to discuss their plans with them.

Plan A - get married and Alden will try to get out of his contract and work in Bulaga with Maine.

Plan B - run away and hide abroad until the dust settles. Will make it appear as if they eloped.

Obviously their families prefer Plan A kasi andito sila and they can offer whatever support they may need.

One crucial factor is, they both agreed to focus on each other and their businesses, start a family, and if the tide is still against them, quit showbusiness altogether.

But there's still the fans they have to think of.
