Maine, using both Alden's and her social media accounts, quickly released statements explaining what truly happened. Even saying the pictures will be used to track down the guilty party who gave Alden Rohypnol, which is a prohibited drug.

Everything that happened that night was done to malign Alden. The police is searching for the ladies to question them about Alden's laced drink. Among other malicious deeds they committed.

On top of that,  Alden and Maine are wondering why they are being kept apart, in public. They have their private time, behind the camera but they know of their fans' clamor. They know how unhappy AlDub Nation is.

They both talk about it privately and posts cryptic messages on soc med to keep the Nation happy, but since they do not want to appear bossy or whiny, they kept mum, never said a word. AT FIRST!

But as days dragged into weeks, they just cannot shake off the uncomfortable feeling of not knowing what's going on.

After the Rohypnol incident, security is super tight for both of them. Understandable, but it became harder for the fans to get to them. Both sides are frustrated. And this forced 'separation' is not helping the situation.

So they did what they don't normally do -

Both Alden & Maine's management teams are in a frenzy & it's not even 8am! The phenom loveteam called for an emergency meeting. GMA & APT are to meet with both Alden & Maine as early as they can manage so they will be able to make it to Bulaga by noon.

They both arrived at the venue promptly at 8 & were ushered to a private meeting room. Ms Jenny & an unnamed GMA rep are on their way. Both A&M's road managers/handlers are heading to the same room.

A&M are talking quietly in one corner. Nobody got any idea what the meeting is all about since this is the first time the loveteam ever asked for a meeting.
Once top management arrived, the meeting started.

"Sorry for the short notice but Maine & I had a talk last night. A serious talk. We want to ask both parties about the plans you have for our careers. We want to see the big picture, so we can also plan our breaks, based on the schedule you propose." Alden started.

"As you all know, we've been working for two years straight, well mostly Alden, so to speak. We are planning to spend more time together, go on vacations together privately. That's why we want to hear from you the plans you've laid out for us." Maine added.

The executive representing Alden's management squirmed in his seat and looked at Ms. Jenny uncomfortably. Alden and Maine pretended they didn't notice the exchange.

"Umm, both of your managements have not come to an agreement yet. We are still talking and I am asking you to be patient." Ms. Jenny cited.

Wow! After two years and one failed talk about their third Teleserye and they still haven't agreed on something! Should we be alarmed? They both share the same thought.

"Can you at least give us a timeline when we can get a concrete plan from you?"

The GMA executive finally spoke, "Sorry for the delay, we are still discussing & ironing out the final plan for you. Ayaw namin basta basta lang kayo isasabak sa kung anong show."

Seriously? Their last Teleserye was a huge hit! They were given a talk-show, also a huge hit but it airs per season. It runs for three months then breaks for another three months before it resumes again.

Although they tried not to be affected by both their managements' disagreement about their careers, it delays their projects therefore disappointing their fans. Who, both Alden and Maine, treat as their loyal customers, the people who pay their bills.

After two years wala pa rin kayong napagkasunduan, will you ever? They both felt that after gaining so much from this phenomenon, they owe it to their fans to return the favor. They don't want to let down the fans because they truly believe Aldub Nation is an integral part of the phenomenon, part of the Trinity.

"And, umm, we, Maine's management, feel very concerned about the recent situation Alden has been involved in. We feel it's unfair that Maine is being dragged into it." Ms Jenny interrupted both their thoughts.

"But we've been through that, it's not Alden's fault. He was set-up! And we're a team, we've always been a team. If he goes down, I go down with him." Maine quickly countered.

"And vice-versa." Alden said softly, reaching for her hand.

"And can you please calm your fans down? But the thing is, you are both so touchy-feely when you're together, I thought the agreement was for us to keep your relationship a secret?" Ms Jenny interjected.

"Being sweet to each other is a bad thing because..???" He questioned.

"Aren't you concerned baka magsawa agad sa inyo pag nalaman nila you're together? Mawawala na ang sense of mystery."

"I really don't believe that. Remember we did that in 2016? You asked both Maine and I to keep it a secret, which we happily obliged, then you said masyado kaming obvious when we're together so you kept us apart. The fans went crazy, and the show never recovered from it. What's wrong in keeping the fans happy?" Alden is bent on keeping his ground.

"Your fans are too demanding as it is. We can't let them control you." Mr Santos, a GMA exec added.

"They don't! They just want to see us together. We're still a loveteam, aren't we? The more they see us in public, the more they respect our privacy. It's always give and take with us. That's the relationship Maine and I have with the fans."

"I've been in this business far longer than you've been in this world, trust me, I know what I'm doing."
Ms Jenny said quietly.

"With all due respect, Ms Jen, we've given you, both our  management, the reins for two years. Di kami nangealam. But we know our fans. They know us. Ang babaw lang nila. Masaya sila seeing us together. I want to give them that." Alden countered with a sigh.
