Lloyd's POV
Hot tears spilled down my cheeks as I watched Kai fall from his position.
"NO!!!!!!" I screamed, getting even angrier with every passing moment.
I turned back to the Overlord and yowled in anger, attacking him.
The next few moments were blurred together. A dark ball surrounding me and my dragon, a large dragon mouth concealing my light, the world turning back to how it should've been before.
As I stayed up beside where the building once was, I cried, letting all my anger and sadness out.
"W-Why did Kai have to be the one to get hurt?!" I sobbed into my hands.
I tried calming down, but to no avail did I succeed.
"KAI!!!!"
Cole's POV
I ran over to a pile of rubble, looking for my fallen friend. I saw Kai nearly half buried under the pile of rubble, bleeding from fatal injuries to his head, chest and back.
"KAI!!" I yelled, prying pieces from their spots.
"SOMEBODY HELP ME!!"
Everyone came to help, including Lloyd, who was in tears after what had happened.
We finally freed Kai and took him to the hospital as fast as we could.
"Please Kai..." I whispered.
"Stay strong..."
