(5 years later)
^^Pipers POV
"Mommy why don't I have a daddy like the other kids at school?" My 5 year old son Luca asked
"Baby *sigh* let's talk about that later okay?" I said softly
He nodded sadly
It killed me to avoid the question but what was I supposed to tell him that 'mommy had a crazy man trying to kill her and his biological father happened to be a multi millionaire that didn't know he even existed' yeah no I'd rather not
"Go grab your backpack honey" I said slipping on my shoes
A week after Damien threatened to kill me and my unborn child I left i moved back to Canada knowing Damien wouldn't think to look there being as that I never told him where I grew up
I dropped Luca off at pre-school and went to work, I worked at a small diner down the street from Luca's school although Luca didn't have all I would like him to have it was enough to pay the bills and that's what is most important right now
~~~1 month later~~~
"Meg I'm going to go pick up Luca I'll be back in 10 to pick up my check" I said to my manager she nodded and waved me off
As I was walking out of the doors a tall figure was holding open the door for me I looked up to mumble a thank you when my eyes connected with a familiar pair of eyes I haven't seen in years making my heart jump
He did a double take continuing to stare at me as I walked past him I mumbled a quick thank you and continued walking my heart beating a million miles a minute

"I love you piper" Justin said
"Where 16 jay we don't even know what love is" i said softly trying to make me leaving in a couple days easier on Justin when I just rip myself out of his life
"I'm sorry I have to go" I said kissing his cheek softly leaving him with a sad expression on his face

I left Justin high and dry, changed my number I did everything in my power to protect my child
"Mommy!! Mommy!! Look what I made today" Luca yelled running up to me with a construction paper heart with a face drawn on it snapping me out of my thoughts
"That's so cool baby we'll hang it on the fridge when we get home mommy just has to go pick up something at work " i said bending down kissing his cheek
He smiled excitedly taking my hand as we walked across the street to my car
Luca told me about his day while I opened the diner door for him he walked to his usual booth and pulled out his ninja turtle coloring book and crayons
"Piper, table number 7 is requesting you serve them" Lexie on of my co-workers called
I sighed and threw back on my apron
"Lex can you please get Luca a girlled cheese and a apple juice please, you can just put it on my tab" I said grabbing a pen and pad heading over to the table
"Have you decided on something to drink" I said politely before looking up at them
Once I did I was meet with the same familiar eyes I saw while walking out of the diner
"Hey piper" Justin said softly his eyes never leaving mine
I cleared my throat
"Hey" I said nervously
