Ashara: Heart of the Wild

introduction

Hmm, where to start... Probably best to start at the beginning. Any good story has its narrator so for this tale i shall narrate, the names Agera, Agera the fox. I am a inhabitant of the land of Ashara were man and beast become one in a peaceful harmony, Not unlike that of your earth. We go to school have day jobs and a well structured society. Our story starts with a pair of young high school students: Loric the white wolf, Droyvayn the raccoon, Xerana the jade dragon, and Cynthia the little sister of Loric. Lets dive in shall we?

phase one: the birth of the pheonix.

Now i will introduce the main character of our tale, Loric Artuin. He is a white wolf strong bold and admirable, born to a small family with little to speak of he made a name for himself in his early days as a child blacksmith. Now many with think "a kid blacksmith? What ever." but i tell you the truth him and the sword were like twin brothers always in unison and knowing all of the others traits. He made his very own set of armor by the age of seven and the town was in awe it was as though it was crafted by a master. To this day no one knows how it came that he was so talented. When he was 13 he encountered a strange man who asked for his help in a matter of a band of warriors that had dug up a dark rune in which imbued its possessor with great power but it would cause the possessor to be shrouded in constant chaos. Loric feeling true to his heart went to procure the item and quell the foolish horde of bandits. Cynthia watched her brother leave only ten in age and whimpered fearing that she may not see him again. Loric found the trial to be harder than he anticipated. He later returned but the details are for another day.

phase two: the psionist's awakening

Now we will introduce cynthia. After loric left on his quest, which took roughly two years, she decided to train for the day that her brother should return. He left her to be a hero but next time she would be there by his side. After about a week she felt a strange flow of energy in which felt like a static field around her and in the very earth. She started questioning it and started searching into its purpose and origin. Soon she found that it was a rare trait that some possessed in which they can feel and manipulate the flow of energy in the world around them. So she trained until the day her brother returned. She expected the same old shiny blue eyed joyful brother but she new when she saw him he had changed. He wasn't as cheerful nor did his eyes glow as they once had. After a time they decided to go to the city of baresa to attend a high school to try a peaceful city life where they met Xerana and Droyvayn.

phase three: the phantoms howl.

Droyvayn will be the center of this chapter. He and Loric had a little history unknown by the others attending the school or his sister and Xerana. Droy was a close friend and traveling companion of Loric, along the quest Droy had fallen in battle and his soul was taken from his body. Loric had managed to retrieve the body-less soul and returned it to the body it once inhabited. Droy was back but not fully he still had lost much of his physical form and took a while to regain his full body. Loric was the one person who aided Droy in his trials. Droy had one day been missing his days of adventure sure high school was comfortable and all but he always felt as though something was missing. His heart lived for adventure yet he chose to live a quiet life. So one night he got a call, it asked him to go back to his hometown and ward of a hostile creature devastating the town. This was a request not easily denied. He went and well lets just say his heart broke him. Sure he made it back but not in the most pleasurable way. Loric immediately noticed his friend will never be the same.

phase four: the beserker's charge.

Now we come to Xerana don't make the mistake of doubting this one she has a knack for breaking things that many would deem impossible. She was born with a unbelievable amount of strength not only that but her speed is off the charts. If you see a 190 pound green dragon running at 40 miles per hour it can only be one, Xerana. She was born to a wealthy family ironically enough but that didn't stop her from becoming a humanoid cannon ball. She was always seen as intimidating to those around her even her parents didn't know how to handle her. After a while she got tired of the "lady" lifestyle and struck out on her own she decided to lead a normal girls life, though this seemed impossible. Shes the fastest on her track team and she is actually quite popular in the school. Now this may sound a lame backstory but it doesn't make her any less important now does it?
