Chapter 2

At dahil ako ang nag aya ako ang driver nina Luke at P pero dinaanan din namin si Ginny kaso wala si Kit dahil as usual di maiwanan ang restaurant. He just told us to take Ginny along.

Republiq as usual was jam-packed. But that's how we like it right? Narinig kong tinatawagan ni P si B but ofcourse di sila magkarinigan. Mabuti nalang naimbento ang texting.

Hinila na kami ni P somewhere dahil may nakuha daw na couch si B. I wonder how he did that? Always 2 to 3 weeks ang reservations ng couches. But I don't really care for as long as I can drink and think.

Halos hindi magkagalawan dahil sa dami ng tao until I finally saw B and his BFFs. Hindi ako nagkamali na sila ang kasama niya. There they were the inseparable Mattielle and Madox. Naging instant BFF narin ni Mattielle si B because B was the old bestfriend of  Madox before. Akalain mong nagclick din sila? As the saying goes, ''birds of the same feathers flock together'' Hindi na dapat ako nagtataka pa.

''You are unusually silent'' Puna sa akin ni P hindi pa man kami nakakaupo.

''I just have thoughts to entertain'' Pilit kong ngiti.

''Hi Ladies! Bati ni Luke kina Madox at Mattielle.''

''Hey! Ngisi ni Mattielle, this is Mark and Max our date for tonight'' Pakilala nito sa amin ang kambal sa tabi nila.

''OO di man lang naghanap ng triplets para may date din ako'' B sounded hurt.

I shook hands with them after Luke. Hindi ko maalis ang tingin ko kay Madox, did she lost weight?

''Hey!'' Bati ko at saka ako tumabi sa couch sa kanya

Nginitian lang ako and she didn't even bother to talk.

''Are you ok?'' Tanong ko sa kanya.

Nagthumbs up siya. So I frowned

May binulong sa kanya yung Mark and she nodded. Pagkatapos ay tumayo ito at umalis. Naiwan si Madox sa tabi ko.

I didn't know how to get along with her. Nakontento nalang akong sumimsim ng alak. I saw Luke ang Pepper heading to the dancefloor. They joined B and Ginny. I was left with Madox, Mattielle and her date Max.

''Wanna dance?'' I asked Madox

''You aren't my date Eric! Sorry'' Sabi nito and that struck me.

''Chill! I only asked'' Pinilit kong maging casual at di mukhang napahiya.

Then came her date Mark. May dala itong drinks from the bar. Inabot nito ang isa kay Madox who gladly took it para ilapag lang sa mesa at saka tumayo ito, hinila si Mark to dance. Sumunod sina Mattielle at Max.

And there I was left alone with Jack Daniels. I was never been this alone in my life even when surrounded with friends. Mataman kong pinagmasdan ang mga nagsasayaw and I couldn't get my eyes off her.

'Since when did she love partying? Mary Sue didn't like  the noise. Didn't like the crowd. On the other hand she's not Mary Sue anymore. She's Madox alright? Why do I care?' Sita ko sa sarili ko. Para na akong baliw. I headed to the bar and accomodated myself on a high chair.

May babaeng nandoon at tahimik lang din na nainom.

''Can I join you in your solace'' Sabi ko kahit hindi ko man lang siya tinitignan.

''Join me all you want but do not ask me questions'' masungit na sabi nito.

''Great! The feeling is mutual'' Sabi ko. 

''I'm Eric Riviera'' Lahad ko sa kanya ng kamay ko kahit hindi naman kami nagkakatinginan.

''Brey'' She said and shook my hands.
