Your POV

I have a groggy aura about me as I to slip back to consciousness. My eyelids are still so heavy, but I slowly force them to open. The bright lights causing me to squint a little, I look around a white room.

Where am I? How did I get here?

Just as I was about to get up to possibly find answers, I feel the binds around all four of my limbs. I clench my fists and try to rip myself free. I pull harder and harder, which just seems to make the bonds tighter against my wrists.

Without realizing it, I must've been making a lot of noise because someone's footsteps were getting closer to this room. My heart races and the monitor to my right reflects it.

The door opens in a flash and a tall individual was at the door. It was another man...

"Hey... Just calm down... okay?" The man says. He had blonde hair and blue eyes to match a perfect description. I recognize his voice to be one of the people hunting me down back home.

I, despite his gentle words, do not calm down. Who the hell is he? Where am I? I knew why I was captured, though. Same reason as everyone else...

"Please, we're really not going to hurt you." He said almost in a whisper. He takes a few more baby steps closer to me ever so slowly.

My body's failing me. I start to grow weary and my attempts to escape stop. I'm completely exhausted. There's no use, so I might at well just obey.

I look up at the ceiling, breathing deeply. I sheepishly glance toward him, who is now even closer to my bedside.

"Can you tell me your name?" He questions me. I just stare at him, not knowing how to answer.

For a little while he awaits my answer, but I say nothing. Then he offers, "Well, my name is Steve Rogers. I'm also known by the name of Captain America."

Again, he waits for any kind of response from me. He sighs and tilts his head down, almost as in defeat.

"Number 362." I pip in a weak voice.

He snaps his head up to look at me. One of his brows cocks up questioningly.

"Is that what you were called in the laboratory?" I give a confirming nod.

"Is there a name you would rather us call you?"

I think for a moment. And then I remember an important name.

"Y/N..." I say with only slight hesitation.

Steve smiles softly and nods. Then he asks, "If I remove the binds, you promise you won't try to run away?"

I look down at my hands and feet. It's true I would want to escape as soon as he untied me, but there's no way I would even make it out of this room. This place most likely has high security, he's built like a tank, and I'm in no condition to even get out of bed.

"I promise..." I mumble, shifting in the bed slightly.

Steve quickly removes my bonds. I gently rub my wrists where the friction was, but I can't even sit up on the bed.

"I see you're quite tired, huh?" Steve said with a concerned chuckle. "How about I go get you some food an water, and then we can continue telling each other about ourselves. Sound good?"

"Okay." I say with a slight squeak in my voice. Steve leaves the room and I am left to myself to wonder what to do next.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steve comes back to the room, but this time he's not alone. I spring myself up and inch away from them on my bed.

"Woah... easy now. This is Sam and Bucky. They helped rescue you as well." Steve says with his hands up trying to calm me down.

My face slightly scrunches up. "Rescue?" I say under my breath as if it was a poisonous word.

One of them lets out a husky chuckle. It was the man with the silver arm.

"Yeah, I mean I was the one that found you so... A thanks would be appreciated." He smiles towards me.

My brows furrow even more from that statement. He wants me to thank him? Oh, once my strength is restored I'll be sure to thank him alright.

"Here, eat up before it gets cold." The third man says.

I look down at the plate of warm food he put on my lap. My eyes widen in amazement. I just stare at it for a few moments.

"What? It's like you've never seen food before." Sam teases.

It's not that I've never seen food before, just never so much on the same plate. I pick up the fork and start shoveling it in my mouth. I'd forgotten just how hungry I was because of the other pains of my body. Once I finish all the food on my plate, I chug down the tall glass of water placed on the tableside next to me.

I pant softly from drinking so quickly, just now noticing all three guys looking at me with amused expressions. My cheeks flush pink as I lower my gaze back to my empty plate of food.

"Glad you enjoyed it. I must say, no one's ever appreciated my cooking that much before." Sam winks at me, taking the empty plate away.

"Thank you." I sigh wearily. My eyes wander between the three of them. I seem to linger too long looking at Bucky's metal arm because he uncomfortably crosses his arms.

"So, Y/N. We wanted to talk to you about where we found you. The laboratory?" Steve directs a conversation once again.

I move my gaze towards him and shake my head. I don't want to talk about that place anymore. I'm finally away from there at least. My head and shoulders slouch down and my brows furrow again. Steve sighs.

"We can't help you if you don't cooperate, doll."

Doll? What does he mean by calling me a doll?

"I'm not a doll. I'm not going to help you. You might as well just kill me and get it over with." I snap at Bucky.

Their eyes widen and they look at each other.

"We're not going to kill you, Y/N. We just want to help you." Sam says with a reassuring face.

"Stop lying to me. I know why you're keeping me captive here. It's the same reason why everyone else does the same thing." I look out the window longing to just feel the fresh air for once.

Please, just kill me.
