"Well, that's too bad." Mrs. James said.

"I'm really sorry." I apologized.

"It's okay, Kirby. I understand." She said.

"Thank you."

I looked at my bandmates and smiled.

Former bandmates.

Yep, I chose college. I realized that I'm not ready to enter the world of entertainment. I mean, I know I love to sing, but I think I need education more. Besides, I miss my brother and I want to spend time with him.

Chelsea hugged me.

"I'm really sorry, guys." I said.

"It's okay, Kirby. We understand. We're always here for you, okay? Good luck with college." Chelsea said and hugged me again.

I laughed and hugged them.

"Are you sure you want to go?" Mom asked while wiping her tears.

I laughed and hugged mom.

"Mom, I'm still going home, okay? I'm just going for a vacation. It's not like I'm going to live there my entire life." I laughed.

"I know." She said and hugged me again.

"Take care of mom and dad for me, okay?" I ruffled Samantha's hair.

"I'm going to miss you." She murmured.

I laughed and kissed her cheek. I frowned when my flight was called.

"So, this is it." I said.

My family hugged me once more. Mom looked at me and smiled.

I just wish Manu was here.

I guess he was just busy. After all, he didn't promise to be here. He only said that he might be here. Not that he was certain that he'll come.

I walked my way to the plane. I went to my seat and made myself comfortable.

I looked around. Some people were talking and some were laughing. It just feels weird traveling alone.

"Hi."

My thoughts were cut off when someone spoke.

I looked at her and smiled.

"Hey." I said.

"I guess you'll be my seat-mate for today's flight." She said, cheerfully.

I smiled and nodded. She sat beside me and extended her hand.

"I'm Jenny." She said.

I shook her hand.

"I'm Kirby." I said with a smile.

"Wow, that's a really good name." She said.

I chuckled. "A very weird name for a girl."
