Prologue

Hi Everyone. If you have come across this story thank you so much even if you came across others similar to this one and decided to pick my story to read. This is my first story I'm writing and if you think my story is very similar to others...Pliz kindly let me know. You might notice that certain places does not exist or they might, but whatever I have written has been a figment of my imagination and fantasy. *Scarlet's POV*

"Okay everyone gather around. It's time to head back to the Royal Palace," the Royal beta commanded. "Make sure the meat are stored in the portable freezers and all weapons are collected."

"YES BETA"

"Princess, everyone is ready to head back to the palace."

"Good. Make sure everyone gets back safely and James how many times do I have to tell you to drop the formalities when it's just the two of us talking" she playfully glared at her beta.

"Sorry. It's an old habit Prin-Scarlet," James said sheepishly. "And old habits die hard"

"Old habits die hard you say and it's not that hard at all," Scarlet signed. "Never mind we must get going now. We have a long way bac—did you hear that?" She looked towards the forest, scanning the trees.

"Hear what?" a confused James asked.

'I thought I heard yelling and crying...Wanna check it out Mystic?' she asked her wolf.

'Yeah we should'.

"Never mind. Just make sure you get the pack back home. I'm heading off now"

"But you just got back from travelling to Antarctica and not to mention how your mum and dad, the queen and king was excited to have you back and how would they react when you're gone again" he said.

"Sorry but my adventure awaits. Tell my mum and dad that I'm going again and let's just say that I'm looking for my mate. That way my mum would not have to worry too much." She winked.

"See ya later."

"Right. You better take care of yourself," he said playfully.

"Oh please don't go all mother hen on me. Mum is already enough. Not to mention the boys too," she frowned but can't seem to stop the smile from appearing.

James laughed. "True. They gonna miss you alot." He smiled sadly.

"Don't worry the days till I get back will pass-by very fast." She assured her beta. "Until I return take care of them and everyone for me, okay."

"You don't have to ask, Scarlet" he smiled proudly. "After all what kind of beta will I be if I don't make the pack and everyone safe and happy?" he smirked.

Scarlet laughed. "You take care of yourself too."

She turned around and ran to the opposite direction away from the pack. 'Now it's time to check out what made those crying and yelling.'

'Or Who' Mystic added.

'I hope I'm not too late'

She ran full speed through the forest, dodging the trees and making sure not to make a sound. Suddenly she heard twigs snapping. But it wasn't from her. She stopped running.

'Did you hear that Mystic?'

'Yeah. Where is it coming from?'

'Up ahead. Let's go'
