Chapter 5

Jasons pov

It's been a few days since I went home and today I have a doctors appointment just to run some more test and see how I'm recovering

"hey Jason how are you feeling" my doctor asked

"good a slight headache but I feel good" I said

"good well we're gonna take a couple cat scans and then come back and take some blood" he said so they took me down to cat scan and took those and then went back to the room and they took some blood work and did an ultrasound just to make sure there was no internal bleeding.

"well Jason it's looks like everything is going great your recovering nicely, all the swelling is gone down, how's your memory" he asked

"it's all starting to come back Everything I have one question when can I get back to work I'm a country singer and I was wondering when I can get back on stage" I said

"I'd give it a few more days just to be safe" he said I nodded and thanked him and left but before I went home I made a pit stop by the studio.

Mikes pov

I was in my office catching up on paperwork when someone knocked on my door

"sorry no meetings today" I said

"what your too busy to see your favorite artist and best friend" a familiar voice said no it can't be I looked up and saw Jason

"oh my gosh man how are you" I said hugging him

"well I'm alive, and it's been a long road but everythings coming back, I came here because I'm ready to get back to work" he said

"you don't know how long I've waited to hear you say that again, I'll get started on setting up a concert around town good to have you back man" I said after he left I called everyone I could and got a concert set up at the blue bird Cafe

Jasons pov

When I got home I walked inside and felt two little arms wrap around my legs

"daddy" I heard my little girl I looked down and saw Sierra I picked her up and kissed her

"did you have fun with uncle Luke" I said and then Luke came into the living room with an outfit

"someone was too excited to see daddy and ran off before I could get her dressed" he said handing me her clothes I laughed and sat on the couch and got her dressed and she sat on my lap playing with my necklace

"so I stopped by broken bow, and Mike's setting me up a concert, and I want you to play with me, you've stayed by my side all along, and cared for my little girl, your my brother" I said

"I'd be honored" he said. So Luke stayed for dinner and then left.  That night Sierra was fussy and wouldn't go to bed

"shh want daddy to sing to you" I said sitting in the rocking chair and rocked her

"sleep tonight til the morning light, oh baby sleep tonight it's gonna be alright, I'll be there when you learn to crawl and when your walking like a wind up doll sweet girl of mine, I'll be with you on your first day of school and in the summer when you pee in the pool sweet girl of mine. Sleep tonight til the morning light, I'm gonna hate it when you have your first date, good or bad there ain't no way I'm gonna like him sweet girl of mine, and when your twenty one I'll buy your first beer sit, look back at all those years with you sweet girl of mine. Sleep tonight til the morning light. When your fourty I'll be crippled and old but don't you put me in a nursing home oh no sweet girl of mine. After she was fast asleep I laid her in the crib and turned mobile and the baby monitor on and went downstairs. After watching some TV I went upstairs and went to bed myself.
