Hey guys! look who's back. I'm posting a new short story. I'm sure there are a lot of mistakes but forgive me ill edit it later. but for now, read on!

It had been five years. Five years is a huge time to be okay, isn't it? People get over people in a matter of weeks- hell, even a few days! Then why couldn't Libby? Surely it couldn't be her? Libby was getting ready for the day. It was a big day for her- well her boss. A rising journalist was coming to interview her boss madeleine spencer. A famous architect who had just shone in the limelight because of her new authentic design which originally was suggested by Libby. But maybe that is what bosses do, they take all the credit. Libby wasn't dissatisfied. She adored madeleine. She was her role model. Libby furiously brushed her hair overthinking about what her best friend had said last night. About how Libby wasn't over- well, him. She put on her coat and taking deep breaths, left her house locking the door behind-she was very scared of robbers- and drove her precious car to her office. Daniel knew this was a big break for him. A big architect was just what he needed for his final move to enter the industry officially. He had decided to walk to calm his nerves. He hadn't had breakfast so he bought a pretzel and walked toward his destination. He loved New York. He loved the charm of this place. He could never find these kind of pretzels anywhere and homesickness is what bought him back here- where he had started five years ago.
Daniel finished his pretzel just as he walked into the office doors. Wiping his mouth with his tissue, he flashed his id to the security and entered the building to the reception. He walked up to the reception to let the interviewee know he had arrived. Just then he heard a commotion outside the lifts. He saw a small young lady swamped with boxes piled up on her arms. She was trying to call the elevator but wasn't able to. He didn't know why but his feet carried him towards the lady with the heap of boxes. He pressed the elevator button and she thanked him. He couldn't quite see her face because of the boxes but something about her voice made his heart skip a beat. He ignore his heart thumping in his chest and made his way back to the reception to be asked by the reception lady to wait.
Libby rushed into madeleine's cabin to set the stuff she had brought from the store to make the cabin more friendly and fresh. It didn't look like an architect's cabin. Mostly it looked like a robbery just took place with everything haphazardly strewn, well, everywhere. She had yesterday cleaned the whole office with madeleines secretary. She knew she had to hurry as her boss would be here any minute. Madeleine entered the office just as Libby had placed the last box outside for later use. Madeleine thanked Libby for all she had done and called to ask the interviewer to be sent up to her cabin. Libby had been asked to assist madeleine during the interview as madeleine was her mentor. The secretary opened the door to let the guy in as madeleine and Libby stood up to greet him. As Daniel's eyes fell on Libby, he could swear his heart stopped. He introduced himself to receive a tiny smile from Libby. As the interview continued Libby was surprised that madeleine actually called Libby out for inspiring her designs. She definitely could feel Daniel's stare. Something about him seemed familiar. Libby could've sworn she had seen him somewhere before, but It was all foggy. When the interview ended madeleine asked Libby to guide Daniel to the doors and answer any query he had about the workplace. She politely obliged. She led Daniel to the lifts feeling a blush creeping up her neck. Only if he stopped goddamn staring! Was all Libby could think.
As she led him out the doors it seemed Daniel wanted to say something. Libby was about to ask when Daniel smiled and left her standing at the doors, wondering.
