Our Own Personal Demons Part 1

Cut so deep

But didn't know until you heard a beep

Looked around when she asked ''why?''

''Got distracted'' you replied but we all knew that it was a lie

Sat there wishing you were not found

Not wanting to hear all these hateful sound

Whispers followed everywhere til you had no where to go

Your mind say end it now but you kept saying no knowing what it meant

Not wanting to seem weak and just give up

But it's hard when your life is like an overflowing cup

Bitter and angry about everything

Didn't feel better until you felt a sting 

This time you woke up on your room floor

Surprised because this has never happened before

Looked at your arms where you saw dried up blood

Tears started flowing out of your eyes like a powerful flood

''Pathetic'' said the voice in your head

''You shouldn't be alive but you should be dead''

Harder and harder is how it got everyday

It will get better soon is what they always say

It's funny how they said that when it never got better

But I never told them that because it doesn't matter

Because we all have our own demons to face

There's no winner nor loser in this race

But some of us couldn't control the pace

So they are all back at first base

This is where we got hooked, this place

When we felt the pain it cause, it was such a wonderful taste

The voices that were there disappeared so it was a solved case

But right then and there we got trapped with no space
Because they found out what we did

Couldn't take it anymore so we shut down and retreat in our mind where we hid
