Markiplier sat in the hospital bed, utter disbelief written on his face. The doctor had informed him that, due to the size of the tumor, he had just under a week to live.
"What can I do?!" He enquired
"There is nothing you can possibly do, I'm afraid." The doctor replied. "There is nothing anyone has ever attempted that could cure you."
Mark put his head in his hands, the shock and fear overwhelming him.
"However..." the doctor continued."There is something that hasn't been tried before, that may just work..."
"Tell me!" Markiplier demanded, grabbing the doctor's apron. "If there is any chance, I'll take it!"
"As I say, though, it has yet to even be tested.."
"I'll test it!" Markiplier begged, "just keep me alive!"
"You won't live in this world." The doctor calmly informed the distressed YouTuber. "It may merely transfer your consciousness into your corresponding body in parallel universe, but that other you will have led a different life to that which you are currently experiencing."
"Sorry?"Markiplier asked "What will happen to this body when I am transferred?"
"It will die, presumably." The doctor stated simply.
Markiplier considered his options. There was so much he would miss here. The YouTube life he had built, his home, his family, his friends. But he certainly would not miss this ruddy tumor.
"I'll do whatever it takes." Markiplier stated, keeping a straight face. "But let me say my goodbyes, first."
"As you wish, Mark." The doctor replied, bowing.
Mark set up his camera, pressed record, and said goodbye. He didn't have his normal energy, and the video appeared dreary and dismal. But it was all he had, so he waited for it to upload, concentrating on breathing. As the video finally published, Mark's phone buzzed as obsessive teens slammed on the comments, claiming first comment bragging rights.
"What do I need to do?" Mark asked, looking straight at the doctor's bland face.
"Nothing." Smiled the doctor. "Just relax, and let things take their course."
