"Are you excited?" Mom asked.

"Yes, but I'm worried" I said.

"Why?" Mom said.

"This may be my dream college, but it rooms boys with girls sometimes" I said.

"I'm sure you'll room with a girl, and if they do room you with a boy then it will have different rooms" Mom said.

"Oh, your probably right" I said.

We pull up to my dormitory. My mom helps me with my stuff.

"Are you sure you have everything?" Mom asked.

"Yes Mom" I said.

She pulled me into a hug and kissed me on the forehead.

"Have a great college experience, I love you" Mom said.

I was alone. I walked around and saw another room. I hoped that it was a girl rooming with me. Then I heard the door open. I saw a girl and got excited.

"Okay, you got everything?" The girl said.

"Yes" a boy said.

Oh no.

"Okay bye, have fun" the girl said, and exited the room. Oh heck no.

The boy walked in the room, and glanced at my bags.

"Oh no, a girl?" He said.

I tried to walk back into my room, but something accidentally got knocked over because of my stupid elbow, and he turned and started walking towards the room.

Crap. He entered my room.

"Hi" I said.

"Hey" He said.

"Im Maddie" I said, holding out my hand.

"Im Evan" He said, taking my hand and shaking it.

"Uh, I see you got roomed with me" I said.

"Uh-Huh" He said.

"This is already to awkward, how about you just don't come in my room, and I won't come in yours; unless we absolutely need to" I said.

"Thats fair" Evan said smiling at me.

And after that he left into his room closing the door.

I started unpacking my things. Placing all my nick-nach's everywhere.

"I think I have an obsession" I whispered to myself,laughing.

Im so funny, I should just date myself.

"Hey, um can I get your number?" Evan said.

"Huh" I said turning around.

"I thought-" I tried to say.

"Yes, I know, but I need it so like if I burn down the kitchen I would call you" Evan said.

"You wouldn't actually do that, right?" I said.

"Sure" he said.

I tried to find a piece of paper, and when I did I wrote my number and it had my initials.

He plopped down on my bed like he had known me all his life.

"Shoes off please" I said.

"Okay but I'm gonna warn you, feet don't smell like roses" Evan said.

"Im used to it, I grew up with four brothers" I said laughing.

"Well, your lucky" Evan said.

"How?" I said.

"Because I'm an only child, and Ive always wanted a little brother or sister" Evan said.

"Oh" I said.

It felt like he would watch me for like ever until he stopped. I didn't mind though, he was really nice. I think he's my new friend.
