Lucy's POV--
I can't live like this any longer. They just beat me whenever they like. And only because I'm the oldest here, I'm mean, what the hell who does that? My parents used to beat me as well, but that's how I got here. They were caught beating me by one of the neighbours and they called the police. Didn't help much did it? I'm apparently being taken somewhere today, away from here. I just hope it's a new home.
O(owner)- LUCY?!?! GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE NOW!!!!
Ugh, I hate her.
I made my way down the stairs. When I got there, there was a man and a woman smiling at me.
O- these people will be your permanent guardians Lucy. So, goodbye. Go get your stuff!
I ran back upstairs with a big smile on my face. A new home. A new life to start. Yes!!!! I packed my stuff in my rucksack, I only had a laptop, hair brush and dryer, phone, my clothes, and my kitten, snippets, but I'll carry her. When I went downstairs the owner saw snippets and immediately took her away, causing me to tear up.
L- No....!
O- do you really think these kind people will want a stupid little kitten in their home?!
Lady- Oh no it's fine my dear! She can keep the kitten.
I smiled as she gave me back snippets.
L- t-thank you m-miss.
Lady- aww you're so sweet. Come let's get you to your new home.
I followed them out to their car and they let me in the backseat.
Man- so, Lucy, how old are you?
L- I-I'm 14
Man- oh, so's our son!
Lady- when we arrive home we will introduce you and then you can just unpack and get to know the place 🙂
L- o-okay.. Thank you 😊
*at the home*
I follow them into their house, me going in last.
Lady- oh, honey, you can call me Katy.
Man- and call me Paul.
I nodded yes and followed them to what I assumed was their dining room.
P- GUYS FAMILY MEETING NOW!!!
After he shouts that a small girl walks into the room. She immediately looks at me with a confused look, then sits down. Then a boy around my age walks in. He looks at me confusedly as well, then sits down.
K- guys this is Lucy. We are her permanent guardians so she will be living with us forever.
P- please treat her kindly and make her feel at home. Well that's all for now.
K- Cameron come here a second please!
Cameron's POV--
Mum- Cameron come here a second please!
I walked over to my mum.
C- yeah?
M- can you please be nice to Lucy. She will be sharing a room with you since Charlottes isn't big enough and you have a bunk bed. Her past is terrible, that's the reason why we took her in, so please make her feel at home. All I'm asking is for you to be her friend. Just show her to you room. I'll give you her background papers later.
I give my mum a soft look, and nod my head yes. Then I walk over to Lucy.
Lucy's POV--
I look up to see that boy, Cameron, standing in front of me.
C- hey, uh I'm Cameron.
L- h-hi.....
He puts out his hand for me to shake it, and I do. When he lets go he starts petting snippets.
C- what's his name?
L- Snippets....
C- that's nice. He's cute. Follow me to the room. We're sharing by the way.
I follow Cameron up to what I presume is his room. I'm sharing a room with a boy? That's a first. Once we get into the room he shows me where I'm sleeping and where I can store my clothes and stuff. Then he goes up to what I assume is his Xbox, so I start unpacking my things. I set snippets on the bed, but he runs up and sits next to Cameron. I smile a bit at the sight. Cameron seems to like him so it's all good. I put my laptop and phone on the bed, and put my hair brush and dryer on the desk that is next to the bed. Then I put my clothes in the drawers under the desk. When I'm done I just sit on my laptop watching Halo 5 gaming. I've always wanted to play that. Cameron must've noticed I was watching it as he came over.
C- you wanna play? I have the game.
L- f-for real?....
C- yeah, I have an extra controller!
L- s-sure...
I pause the video and follow Cameron up to his Xbox. He has 2 floors in his room, it's pretty cool. He hands me the extra controller and starts a new game. I assume he is playing with his friends as he is talking to people on a headset.
Coh(Cameron in headset)- oh, that Lucy. My parents like are her new guardian now......... No she's not technically my sister....... Yeah let's just play.
Cameron then explains what buttons to use and stuff, but I already know since I watch so much gameplay of it. Well here we go......
