The First Meeting

I strolled in to the ABSM (Americas Best Selling Magazines) magazine building and jabbed the up button for the elevator. I had had a terrible day with the news meeting, and even got in an argument with my boss about the resale. The elevator arrived with a sharp ding and the doors slid open. Humming to herself inside the elevator stood a blonde 5"5 young lady dressed in her  business clothes which fit her curves beautifully. As I stepped in she looked up from her phone and smiled.  I smirked and quickly checked my self in the reflection on the silver walls of the elevator, and turned back to her. I cleared my throat making sure I got her attention before asking her "Do you by any chance know which floor does Mr. Ted Wilson have his office?"

"Yes as a matter of fact I do" she giggled. I don't know what was so funny but I quickly checked my hair in the reflection. "I am not giggling because of your hair" she muttered without looking up. "Well I am glad, I am not one of those people who care what people think of looks by the way" I said before getting out my phone and checking my messages.

As the elevator hit the 6th floor she turned and smiled once again and said "Mr. Wilson's office is on level 7." I thanked her and hit the 7 button.

(Later that day)

"I am telling you she was the prettiest girl I have ever seen working in that building, Kyle." I announced in the phone. "Ok ok I get it, she was pretty and all but when will you ever go into that building again?" Kyle asked with such an annoyance that I dropped the subject immediately. After I said goodbye to him I got out of my car and headed into my apartment.

I logged on to my computer and found an email from an anonymous sender saying that I was to come and meet him/her tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock with 10,000 dollars. Of course I knew right away that I was being  flogged so I deleted the message and headed over to my kitchen. 

I quickly dialed up my Dad and put the sound on speaker as i walked around the island in my kitchen and grabbed a saucepan from the pots hanger. "Hello, this is Chad Hammilton speaking" my father sounded like he was still at work so i made sure not to say something smart, "Hi Dad, are you at work?" i asked with my head in the pantry. "If you are asking me am i at work then yes, for goodness sake Glasgow speak up." "Sorry i am in the kitchen, hows work going?" "Its going well, your mother has been trying to get ahold of you by the way." Dad said with a sigh. "I know, but i have been busy, you guys know that" I went over to the fridge and got out a thin steak, red bell pepper, cillantro, two eggs, shallots, and some soy suace, before heading over to the cabinate and grabbing a jar of uncooked jasmine rice. "Yes but that is no excuse, you have plenty of time in the mornings when you wake up at 5:30" "Thats true." "Which reminds me why i was calling, do you think that it would be possible to get you to come over and stay for a few days and work with me on some of my papper work?" "You're so good at this kind of stuff" I chopped up all the ingredients and tossed them together in a pan with some soy suace and garlic. " I think i could fit that in" dad said. "Son i will have to go i have a meeting to get to, i will talk to you later with the details of when i can come." "K say hi to mum for me" "I will, bye". I hung up and added the rice to my meal before putting the lid on it and letting it simmer.

Hi guys, hope you have been enjoying the story so far, this is my first story ever so im kinda figuring this out! Sorry that the first two chapters have been so short but i just thought the first two would be describing the two main characters and how they live.
