The Change Up {Sequel to:The Styles Twins}

Date Night

"What's wrong sweetie?"

"I uh, I left the hair straighteners on I'll be back in a minute"

I ran upstairs and tried to calm myself down, 'your mine and only mine' his words span around my head like a plane falling from the sky. I don't know why he has this effect on me, he should even have that much power over me as it is. As I tried to calm myself down I thought of Alex and what he would have done if he was in this situation, and it made me realise that I missed my best friend. 

I calmly went back down stairs and joined the others on the sofa, I sat next to Niall very quietly and waited for the time to pass. I was dragged from my thought by the sound of someone knocking on the door. Sure enough it was Tom.

"Guys I'm going out now, i'll be back by 12. Love you"

I gave mum and dad and a hug and a kiss, Niall was looking at me and I wanted to give him a kiss but I knew if i did that I wouldn't be able to control myself. I settled for giving him a hug and said that I would give him a text later.

Tom is lovely, he's so sweet and thoughtful, he brought me flowers and a teddy keyring which was adorable. I really wanted to give him a chance but in the back of my mind was Niall and what we had agreed to do. Part of me didn't think it was fair to bring an innocent person into this but at the same time I needed a cover and Tom was the perfect person for that. 

"Aaliyah, are you okay? You seem very quiet"

"Yeah of course, I'm just really nervous"

Liar.

"I haven't been on a date in a while, I never really know how to act"

"Babe, you don't have to act. Just be you. That's what you did when I first met you at work, you looked so beautiful that day, but the way you look tonight is out of this world"

Okay, this makes it 10x harder, he's so complimentary and sweet and lovely, fuck!

The rest of the date went a lot better as time went on, I started to relax a little more and started being more me than I was before. As it turns out we have an awful lot in common, expect the part when he told me he has a 3 month old son that he isn't aloud to see. Something about his ex girlfriend getting a new boyfriend and this guy doesn't want Alex seeing his kid and his ex Emily is stupid and listening to what this other guy is saying. 

"You know, my mum was telling me earlier that this is where her and my dad went on their first date and 9 months later me and Oakley came out" 

"That's weird because my mum and dad met here, he was the bar man and she was one of the waitresses. Apparently it was love at first sight"

Alex eventually walked me home and gave me a goodnight kiss and I couldn't help but think how much I enjoyed myself. If that was Niall we wouldn't be able to go out on dates or just spend time with each other walking hand in hand. 

Everyone was in bed by the time I got in, I made myself a cup of tea and got into bed. I pulled out my phone to see I had a text from Niall and Tom.

To Ally: 

I had a really nice time tonight, you looked breathtaking. Hope to see you soon? - Tom x

Smiling to myself I sent a text back and opened the next one, it was from Niall.

To Ally:

Hope you had a good night gorgeous, didn't miss me too much did you? I'm taking Arielle to the park tomorrow, come with us, she misses you - Your Nialler x
