THERE HE GOES, happily laughing with her. His arms wrapped around her shoulders. He wouldn't even spare a glance on me as if I didn't exist in the first place.

But it's better off this way.

So I won't crumble down, don't look at me. For even with just one glimpse I might forgive you. Because my love for you is much stronger than all the hate in the world.

There she goes, taking the blame all to herself. She would rather put up with the guilt than beg for forgiveness. In spite of it all, if she would just run back to me with a smile like she used to, I might forget every sin she did. If she would call my name, I might just welcome her like always.

But she wouldn't and it's easier.

What did I ever do to deserve this? I didn't even choose to be born a Heavens.

"Morgan." I heard  someone whispered my last name.

The image of him and that girl slowly faded as I heard the voice call me louder.

"Morgan! Alexis Morgan!"

I gasped, lifting my head up from the table. Everything was a bit blurry but I could tell that the white flat thing over there was the white board. It was behind the desk on the platform. I swung my head around and I saw that there were students sitting in front and they were all looking up at me because I'm sat in the rare seat.

They were looking at me... Why? And by the way, where's Professor Collins?

"Ms. Alexis Morgan." Her shaky authoritative voice completely awakened my half asleep brain. Now I know why she wasn't on the platform.

I craned my neck searching her wrinkled face.

By then I know I'm screwed.

"Morning Prof. Collins." That was no time for me to rub off drool from my lips but I still did in case there was any.

An evil smirk was plastered on Prof. Collins' face and she need not say a word for me to know what to do. Throwing my hands up, I stood. "Okay, okay. I'll gladly do it." I pretend to be cool with it but nope...

This absolutely sucks.

I mean, keeping a low profile wouldn't be this challenging if I didn't go early in the lecture hall and fall asleep while waiting for the class to start. Prof. Collins and her crazy rules are just too extreme. Making a student actually discuss things they haven't heard before. What if the victim wasn't me?

I went in front without any material to base the discussion. People like me have this thing called stock knowledge and sometimes we just gotta put them into use.

Everyone was amused with my mischief. They sneered like they know better, making me eager to show off.

Looking at them seated, it made sense why they have pitched floor in lecture halls. It is to easily spot students in slumber like that one at the left corner, far back in the rare seat. He just signed himself up as a slacker like yours truly so I'll let him slide.
