"In all honesty everything here is good. Unless it has cheese. Yuck. Actually, there pizza is exceptional-"

"Whoa, it was a simple question, you just needed a simple answer."

"Oops. Sorry. I'm not really sure. Anything really. I'm not actually that hungry."

"Phil, of course your hungry. Your stomach is so small."

"Is that a bad thing?" He asks.

"Yes actually." Dan sighs. "You're really skinny, and part of this second chance was you eating. We both need to be all in as you said."

Phil scrunches his nose. "I don't remember saying that."

"I do. And even if you didn't say it it sounds like something you would've said." Dan pokes Phil's wrinkled up nose with a giddy smile pulling against his lips.

"Alright. I'm getting a damn sandwich. You?"

"Pasta. It sound delicious!" Dan licks his lips as he re-reads the description of the food. Phil laughs and presses a soft kiss to Dan's forehead. Gentle as always.

As the night continues the two of them laugh and talk on like two people finally getting back in touch after years of being separated. It feels nice. Even when the food arrives they continue to talk on and on. Never skipping a beat.

The atmosphere to the restaurant adds to the whole magical feeling. The wafting smell of comfort food surrounds them, yet it makes you feel at home. And being next to Phil just adds to that feeling. Their legs closest to the others had crossed a long time ago, it kept them intact, made them feel connected. They never wanted to be to far from each other and always cast glances at the other. And even though they both felt this tug towards the other, they were very different.

For instance, Phil was mostly lips. Kissing Dan's cheek, nose, hair, and hands. While Dan was more of a touch person. In a matter of minutes after they had finished their food Dan was on Phil's lap with his date's arms around him as they talked on and on about mindless stuff. The kind of mindless stuff that didn't feel so mindless.

"Did you know that there's something called 'Mephobia' which is a fear of becoming so awesome the human race dies from it?" A smirk pulls its way onto Phil's lips before they kiss Dan's hair.

"No way, that one is just too weird!" Dan laughs, his head was currently cuddled into Phil's neck and he was watching intently as Phil's adam apple bobbed up and down with every word and every time he swallowed.

"I do admit that one it weird." Phil laughs. "But did you know humans spend about 25 years sleeping?" Dan laughs.

"No I can definitely say I have not." He rubs his nose against Phil jaw.

"You're so cute." Phil whispers, one of his hands sliding into one of Dan's. "But I need to talk to you about something serious."

"Oh no." Dan sits up straight so he can look at Phil.

"It's not an 'oh no', it's just, how are we going to make this work with your heart?" Phil asks.

"We don't go to extreme?" Dan suggests, feeling a sense of relief when Phil didn't say he wasn't having a fun date.

"That could be do able but, what if I want to do something romantic. Like, really, romantic. Heart pumping romantic. I can't do that Dan." Phil stares forward and Dan rests his head against Phil's neck. "I can't kiss you for as long as I'd like. I'm afraid to go to far. I don't want what happened on our first kiss to happen again. That was a terrible day for the both of us."

"Yeah, don't remind me." Dan mumbles. "Well, I guess we can think of it as a good sign? We're teens, no need to go to far. Who knows if we'll last."
