This story is about Caroline Baker, an orphan who was adopted by a very busy and rich couple at age 12. Now that she is 16 and fed up with the same routine every day, she has her own plan up her sleeve.
This is my first story so be kind and no hate...
A/N: Just so you guys know I am a busy person just like anyone else would be so if I were to update, it would be in very long periods of time unless I have a break from school. Thanks <3

I was looking out the window of the train, it was zooming by tees, shops, cities. I did not think that it was going to be this hard to run away...

Caroline Baker was a sixteen year old girl who did not have the life she expected she was going to have. She was an orphan until the age of twelve when her new parents had decided to adopt her. Her father is a busy, rich, business man, while her mother was a designer. Although they treated her with much respect and loved her like their own, they did not bother paying very much attention to her. Not that it mattered to Caroline, she was just trying to come up with a plan to leave as soon as she could.

"Hey Mom, hey Dad! I'm home!" called Caroline as she strode into her mansion of a house. Silence was about the home until she heard faint chatter by both of her parents most likely on their phones working away.

"I know, I know! Wouldn't sparkles just be a perfect touch to the design?!" she heard her mother gushing away into her phone most likely talking to her artist about the new line she will put out in year's time.
"No! I have to go to Andy's house to get the layout!" Caroline's Dad on the other end of the house looked quite furious if I do say so myself as he spoke into his cellphone about the new building he was planning on putting right on top of the empty clearing about a mile from the city.
Although Caroline was quite annoyed with her parents not even saying a simple hello when she walked into the door, she was used to this constant working that her parents focus on practically 24/7. "Hey mom?" Caroline asked, "what is for dinner tonight?" A basic question that pretty much every teenager asks when they get home from school.
"Shh, Caroline!" her mother scolded,
" I am quite busy at the moment! We are going out for moo shoo at Moo Shoo Palace." Caroline groaned, "We always go out!" she whined,
"when can we have a decent home cooked meal where we sit at the table and GET OFF OF OUR PHONES FOR ONCE."
"Caroline Ann Baker so help me, we can hire a chef if you want a home cooked meal, now go do your homework!"
Caroline just rolled her eyes and stomped upstairs to her room grumbling choice words under her breath that were barely audible.
"I can hear you talking under your breath Caroline!"
Once Caroline got to her room, she slumped onto her bed and stared idly at the ceiling. She inspected the crown molding and sunshine yellow walls that were accented with grey wallpaper. Her favorite part of the room was the mirror that filled the entire wall behind her bed, creating the illusion that her room was much larger.

Since Caroline did not have any homework for that day, she decided to call her friend Summer.
"Hey Summer!" Caroline said, "guess what I am having for dinner tonight?"
"Let me guess, " Summer said, "out to a restaurant?"
"BING BING BING! Correct! One point for Summer!" Caroline said jokingly.
Summer has been one of Caroline's friends since she was adopted by her parents. She stood by her through the rough times in school and hung out when Caroline was feeling down, and Caroline did the same for her. Summer was basically the part of the friendship that kept us from dying or getting in trouble while Caroline put the excitement into it. Summer was blonde, more on the thin side, and lived in the suburbs of Arizona.
"So Summer, I was thinking about something,"
"Oh no, this can't be good."
"Well," said Caroline, "since my parents barely even see that I exist, and they have money, I have decided to run away."
Silence fell in the phone call.
"I will go with you!" Summer finally stated.
This for some reason both worried and relieved Caroline considering that she was definitely scared to go by herself, but she did not want to put her friend in danger.
"No, no, no, you don't have to come with me Summer! I am too worried that you would get hurt!" Caroline argued.
"We are best friends though! It's like Ohana! No one will be left behind, so I am not letting you go by yourself." Summer debated.
"Alrighty then!" Caroline gave in.
"You wanted your adventure Caroline, now you are going to get it!"
A/N: Ew worst cliffhanger/ending of a chapter ever why am I so bad. Anyway just a reminder I will be posting rarely because of how busy I get and I may even forget about this but I am not sure anyone would read this anyway. LOL Thanks for reading anyway and I might update if this gets enough comments and reads.
