I look out my window. It's 6:30 am, and I've just gotten up. I need to get ready for school, I tell myself, but maybe if i don't then school wont happen today. I obviously know thats not true, but it never hurts to hope. After more brooding, I pull myself away from the large window in my living room and away from the beautiful view of the nearby lake and head back to my room. After i have everything ready, I check the time. 7:10, time to head out to catch the bus. I walk out the door and smell the fresh air. Something seems different. New. It makes me smile. Suddenly I feel happier, like today is going to bring something new.
I walk into my first hour, calculus, and for once i don't feel completely saddened. The world seems to be smiling at me and I smile back. Not only did the bus ride to school seem to be both the perfect temperature and very quiet, but even my crush, Lalia Elyzabeth, had talked to me. I decided i'd do my best to be Optimistic, but something didn't feel right about everything going right.
"Hey!" I'm suddenly snapped out of my trance by my friend, Evan Greenan.
"You get enough sleep last night?" He jokingly laughs to me.
"I'll tell you about it later" I say.
