"B-but I t-trusted you," I let out in a sob.
"Well sweetheart," he said, in a low, dangerous voice," that was your first mistake."
10 Months Earlier
"Does sushi sound good Rachel?"
Anika asked.
"..."
"Uh. Rachel, do you want sushi?"
"..."
"RACHEL!!?!???!??"
"Yes, wait no. Wait what. NOPE." I stuttered while scrambling for the right answer. "Did I get it right?"
"If you don't want sushi then, yes. Yes you did," Anika said.
"Sushi sounds great right about now," I said fanticising about eating all the sushi.
"Ok then let's go get sushi already," Anika said sounding impatient.
We walked to our favorite sushi place, which was about 0.6 miles away from the mall, but it was totally worth it. We got in and I pondered on what to order since I had had about every type of sushi here and had to decide on my favorite. Sushi here wasn't very expensive, but it all tasted so fresh and almost identical to the expensive kind.
"Ugh, I can't decide on which sushi I want," I complained.
"Well you better figure out quick, it's almost our turn to order," Anika stated.
Looking I realized we were almost up to order. Uhhhhhh. California Roll or Spider Roll. I looked up and saw we were ordering next. I'll just get the California Roll again. It's really good and besides its our turn to order now.
"Hello, welcome to Samari Sushi, what can I get you."
"Ah yes, can we get a pack of Spider Rolls and California Rolls to go please?" Anika asked the cashier.
" Not a problem your total is $9.69. We will have you good for you in a moment."
I just couldn't wait to get my sushi. Good thing Anika had yelled my name or I would be never heard her. Huh. I wonder who that guy was that was looking at me in the mall today. I think I've seen him at school, not totally sure though. Besides if I were to see him at school he would've been a junior or senior, and I'm only a sophomore, so I wouldn't have any opportunities to talk to him or see him in general. Man he was cute though, maybe he likes me. I gotta figure out his name.
"RACHEL! STOP ZONING ME OUT!!!!!!" I heard Anika scram.
"Wait what?" I said confusingly.
"You were completely zoned out. What were you thinking about?" Anika questioned.
"Nothing really, just school stuff," which was kind of a lie, but not really if you think about it.
"Ok whatever you say," Anika said without argument," See ya after school on Monday."
"Kay, bye," I said as Anika stared walking to the mall again, where her boyfriend was, and I was heading home. I didn't live to far from Samari Sushi, I mean it was about a 10 min walk. I started walking home when I felt someone grab my shoulder. I turned around ready to punch the person, but fortunately I didn't punch them since it was just Jason.
"Did I scare you?" Jason asked knowing he very much did.
"Yes," I said sternly," You're lucky you're adorable and that I didn't punch you."
"You wouldn't have hurt me anyway so what would it matter," he said in a really cute and adorable voice," and besides, you love me too much to ever think of hurting me," he added on with a little smirk on his face afterwards.
"Ok ok. Maybe I wouldn't have hurt you, but you're buff so of course it wouldn't. Just be carful for the day I do punch you and you get hurt," I remarked.
" In your dreams," Jason said as he kissed me.
