Annies POV:
I sat staring out the window, daydreaming about Brennan while my tutor Alicia tried to explain something I didn't get about fractions. " Hello? Annie? Were you listening? ". I snap back to reality. " Oh um. Sort of. No. Actually not really" I admitted. " Are you Okay, Annie? You've been a bit weird lately. Oh, and every time Katie's family is around, your really strange. Have you and Katie had a fight or something?". "No. Me and Katie are absolutely fine- I'm just a bit tired, that's all." She gives me another weird look before telling me to pack up my stuff and get ready for my sleepover with Katie.
~Katie arrives~
" Katie!" I yell and run to get the door but strangely Caleb is already there. I give Katie a hug and drag her bag up to my room. " What do you wanna do?" I ask. "I don't know" She says. Then randomly she blurts out " Who do you like?" Well, I've had a crush on her brother Brennan for like 3 years now but I'm not going to tell her yet because that might make it awkward between us so I just say " No one. I don't really have time for boys right now". She stares at me for a while, which is kind of unnerving and then asks " But you would tell me if you ever liked someone, say like Brennan ... or Luke or something. Right?" I hide the look of surprise on my face by walking over to my wardrobe before telling her " Definitely". Omg I feel SO guilty. She comes over and hugs me and says " Good, because that's what best friends are for"! Then we go outside and have a water fight with Caleb.
