Max and Gidget: The First Date (Editing)

Chapter 5

"Gidget I can't stop this feeling deep inside of me. Girl you just don't  realize what you do to me."

"Max!" Gidget said with a huge grin and blushing cheeks.

"When you hold me in you me in your arms so tight you let me know everything's all right."

"Max are you using song lyrics to express yourself?" Gidget asked as she giggled.

"Well mabey but my point is I love you."

"Oh Max, your so sweet. I love you too!" She said blushing.

We shared a guick kiss, which was the most amazing thing in the world, I didn't want it to end, we then continued our walk home. I noticed Gidget stayed really close to my side, this made me feel warm having her close by. After about a ten minute walk we made it to the entrance of the park. I also saw an animal control van roaming the area.

"Shoot how did they know where we were going to be?" I said a bit angrily.

"Max take it easy they haven't spotted us yet. They're probly just trying to round up the remaining dogs"

"Yeah your right but either way we need to stay clear of that van."

I looked around, seeing if there was anything we could use to hide. I kept looking and saw nothing except a couple of boxes we could use, but the boxes might still catch their attention. All of a sudden I had an idea, we could still use the boxes but only to get the nearest building. After that we reach the top of that building and safely make our way from building to building all way back home. I explained the plan to Gidget, she liked the plan and was ready for action. We were at the boxes but all of them were to small for us to fit in except for one, it was a box even larger then me. Gidget and I could fit in this for sure. Once we were in it I noticed that it wasn't the most spacious, it was a tall box but not a wide one. I actually didn't mind this because it got me close to Gidget.

"Gidget follow my lead."

"Ok boss" she said jokingly.

We began our sneaky walk, crossing the streets, which was surprisingly empty. Once we made it to the building, is was suprised no one just saw a random box moving. We climbed to the top using the fire escape stairs. Once we at the top, we used certain maneuvers and paths to get from building to building. We tried making some small talk, but it was difficult talking and concentrating on every jump.

A while later

Gidget's POV

We both stood on top of my apartment.

"finally, we made it back home." Max said catching his breath.

"We'll, it seems we are" I said with an awkward smile.

I didn't really want this day to end but it seems like it has to. Then all of a sudden I had an idea and it was perfect. I had to it into action before the day ends.

"Um... Max c... can I stay with you for the night? I still feel um.. shaken with the whole adventure we had today." I said very nervously.

He turned to me and said " Gidget are you sure you want to stay at my place?"

"Yes, that would make me feel better."

"Wait, are you doing this to spend more time with me."

"Well... yes "I said blushing " But I do feel shaken, so it's both."

He gave me a smirk and said "Come on then. Let's get inside before Katie gets home."

I gave a huge grin and followed him into his apartment.the first think I saw was Duke sitting by the door. Duke turned and saw us.

"Max what took you so long!" Duke said a bit worried

"Duke it's a long story. I'll tell you some other time." Max responded

"Fine." Duke said disappointed " Wait what's she doing here?"

"Oh Gidget is staying the night with me."

"Don't worry Katie will let her stay"

At that moment the door began to unlock. Duke and Max got into there positions, sitting in front of the door, while I went to hide behind Max. The door opened and I saw Katie with a smile on her face, like always.

"Hey guys how was your" Katie stopped and spotted me" Hey cutie what are you doing here?"  She then tured to Max."Max did you bring a friend over?"

Max nodded in response. I also noticed Max blushing under his fur.

"Aww cute. Well you guys have a good night, I'm going to bed."

Katie went into the, refilled our bowls with food and water, then went straightto her room.

"Well I'm going to sleep with Katie tonight, so I can leave you two love birds alone." Duke said he walked into Katie's room

"So, Gidget what do you want to do?"Max asked me.

Well Max to be honest with everything has that happened today, I just want to get some sleep." I answered back with a yawn.

"Ok, I'll show you to my bed then."

He lead me to a dog bed, which compared to me was fairly large.

"Well Gidget, this is my bed. You can sleep here."

"Wait where are you going to sleep."

"Well right next to you of course."

I couldn't stop myself from blushing and giggling. While we began to get comfortable, he got a blanket and laid it on top of us. I felt Max's warmth near me, this relaxed me even more then the bed.

"Good night my love." Max said giving me a like on the cheek.

"Good night sweetheart." I responded back licking his nose.

I have never felt so relaxed in my life. I fell into a deep warm sleep with the love of my life. Today will be a day I will never forget.
