"Nana! Nana!" I shouted as I ran towards the kitchen.
"What is it sweetie?" my Nana asked while wiping her hand with a damp towel.
"I got the letter!" I shouted excitedly, confusion written on her face.
"You mean to Oakwood College?" she asked, clearly amazed.
""Yes! Nana, I can't believe I got in!" I hugged her tightly.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so proud of you!" she said with a smile and tears started rolling down her face.
"Oh Nana. Please don't cry." I pleaded. I don't like it when people cry in front of me because it makes me cry too. She wipe her tears with the back of her hands and give me a warm smile.
"STEFAN!!!" Nana shouted and seconds later, heavy footsteps can be heard. There, standing in the kitchen door is my Pops, holding a pail and is about to attack someone. Same as Greg and Jasper but Greg is holding a horse brush while Jasper is holding a grass rake.
Nana and I can't help but laugh at their poses especially when their faces are so serious and they're holding farm materials. They're like Power Rangers!
"What's wrong Martha? Is there a thief?" Pops asked frantically.
"Why are you guys laughing?" Jasper asked as his serious face was replaced with confusion and found our laughing fit weird.
"There is no thief Pops." I said in between laughs.
"Then why did Nana shouted?" Greg asked this time, lowering the brush he was holding.
"Well," Nana started, a smirk forming on her lips and trust me I've never seen her smirk like that and kinda looks creepy, "she got into Oakwood College!" she finished and released the news like a grenade.
"Whaaaaaat?!!" they asked in unison.
"I'm going to college!" I shouted, grinning. They were clearly caught off guard with the bomb-news my Nana just dropped but their shocked expression was quickly replaced by smiles and grins as the news sinked in and Jasper caught me by the waist and spun me around.
"Congratulations Red!'
This day couldn't get any better.
Right now, we're having our dinner. Nana exaggerated a little bit and prepared too much food. She said we can't let this opportunity pass and not have a celebration. Well, I just got into Oakwood College. A very prestigious school in London, known for its best schooling system. They got the latest edition of every technology, their food is first class and so is their teaching methods. I heard that every graduates from their school is always scouted by top class company right after graduation. Not to mention, their tuition is very expensive.
So getting a scholarship in their school is really a big opportunity. You've got to have the brains of the brains to enter that school. Does that even make sense?!
Okay, back to dinner. Everyone was really happy for me about going t o college. Well, except for Jasper, I think. He's been awfully quiet where as earlier, he was all happy and cheerful. He's not even touching his food and his face is like he just realized something.
"So, when will you leave Red?" Greg asked.
"The letter says that someone will come and get me tomorrow afternoon."
"Wait, you're leaving tomorrow?!" Jasper asked jumping out his chair, startling us, and an unreadable expression written on his face.
"Yeah. Something wrong?" I shrugged, my attention back to the food in front of me.
