June 17, 2007 Summer time in Miami the weather was 95 degrees no wind blowing outside not a person in sight. Shonda sat outside her parents house on the broken crate watching her two kids play In the yard. Diamond was the oldest she was five and her son Santana was three. Shonda walked in the house laid down on the couch left the door open wide to keep in eye on the kids "Santana stay in that yard do not go out that gate you or diamond now act like y'all can't hear you gone be right in this house" the kids nodded there heads. Shonda got up went to the bathroom as she flushed the toilet she heard gunshots fire she rush outside to get the kids, she see a black grand pri turns the corner fast, she look down to see where the kids where and it was to late, her heart dropped diamond and Santana was covered in blood she rushed over to diamond as she gasped for air but seconds later she took her last breathe. "Somebody help me please." Shonda screamed as loud as she could the neighbors who where peeking out there windows begin to come outside the neighbor two doors down was an old man mrs peet he pulled out his phone and dialed 911 "Hurry Hurry" Shonda yelled she laid on the ground next to her kids holding both of them. The crowd started to get bigger and then the ambulance arrived five minutes later. "Cj where you at?" Meme was outside in the crowd watching the detectives and paramedics questions Shonda "I'm handling business right now man what's up?" Meme was cj's mistress "cj somebody just shot up yo girl house and the kids was out there playing in the front and they got hit Cj oh my gosh this looks really bad" meme started to cry but cj didn't say a word he hung up the phone. "Yo who that was nigga you looking crazy in shit" sitting in the car next to cj was his best friend peanut "man nigga just shot at my girl crib man" cj took a deep breath peanut saw that cj wasn't playing "everybody alright though right?" Cj drops a tear and wipe it away fast pushes his feet on the gas trying to hurry to Shonda house " man these fuck niggas just shot my fucking kids man, they shot at my- Cj couldn't believe what was happening peanut is furious just as Cj is. They pull up to see yellow tape,police cars ambulance and a crowd of people. Shondas yelling and screaming, her parents hugging each other cjs mom down on her knees holding the gate his grandmother trying to pick her up it was all to real for Cj he looked around and tried to remain calm. Thoughts rushing through his head peanut walks over to Shonda and the rest of the family trying to cheer everyone up but it wasn't helping at all peanut see cj walk off towards the car and see meme following behind him peanut walks over to the car "what man? Fuck do you want?" Cj yells at meme "cj it was Tim them I saw that black grand pri they be in I only saw Tim though it was three niggas though I couldn't see nobody else" "cj let's ride man" peanut says over hearing what meme said "alright meme" peanut says to meme they arrived at cj grandma house " what's up cj where grandma at? i ain't eat all day" cj little brother Chris was sitting in the house by himself watching cartoons cj didn't even acknowledge him cj went to his room into the closet and got a ak-47 and a ar-15 carries both outside of the house into the car. After riding around for almost two hours they stopped at the liquor store got a bottle of Hennessy another hour went past the bottle almost empty they rod by the club and spot Tim and his crew walking out the club they follow them to there car " yea fuck nigga what up" cj hanging out the window gunshots firing none stop until cj see everybody down one shot fires back at cj and hits him in the arm peanut stops the car fires some more shots he hurry quickly back into the car speeds off " man this shit hurt like a mutha fucka " they look at each other peanut takes off his shirt gives it to cj cj covers his shoulder up and they both start laughing " yo you seen them bitch ass niggas they thought shit was sweet wit ah nigga man" peanut says " fuck wrong with them niggas man they took my kids from me man Ian got no heart no more man them niggas mama gotta die man I'm telling you" whoever said revenge wouldn't make you feel better? Cj felt like he got even and although that wouldn't bring his kids back he did feel some type of relief. A police siren goes off "A man we can't stop man" Cj bleeding was getting heavier and besides them having two rifles in the car they had drugs and they where highly intoxicated. Peanut makes a right at the corner and come into a complete stop as soon as the police gets out he presses his feet on the gas the police calls for back up he loses the police for a second then he sees two more police cars tag along "nut man we gotta lose this car man pull in this parking lot man. They pull into the parking lot they hop out and go there separate ways with Cj losing more blood he couldn't move that fast the police spots the car in the parking lot and one officer spots peanut and starts chasing behind him Cj is running trying to stay up sweats drip from all over his body Cj runs into someone's backyard and collapse. The officer catches up with peanut and when they catch him they start to hit him with the police Paton, kicking him all over "alright man alright " peanut yells after five minutes of beating they hand cuff him and drag him to the police car."a man I got bout seven hundred dollars in my pocket it's yours man just drop me to the hospital" An old man and his grandson come to see the noise they heard in there backyard "please man"Cj begs the old man then the old man takes the money out of Cj pocket pick him up carries him to his pick up truck and put him in the back seat. The police search the area for hours they finally called it quits. On the way to the hospital the police car that took peanut away stops at a red light and coincidentally the old man who was taken Cj to the hospital stopped at the same red light and Cj looked outside the window when he saw peanut and peanut looked over at Cj and they both immediately turn there heads the opposite way. Cj and peanut both knew the outcome of what happened that night could only be bad although he only got shot in the shoulder he lost a lot of blood, peanut knew after getting charged with a rifle he just knew his time was gonna be long he didn't know how long but he still prayed for a miracle. A miracle that he'd be back home the next day. The next day Cj woke up in the hospital bed he looked around to see if the old man was there but no one was there."Clifford James?" A female nurse walked into the room "yes mam" "Good afternoon you been sleep all day you didn't get to eat your breakfast how you feeling?" "I'm just really tired and ready to go home" "Well you can just go back to sleep get some rest but you can't leave we just ran test on you and you need to have surgery done to remove the gun shell from out of your shoulder I"lol have ms gabby bring your lunch and I'll just turn this tv on for you and you just lay here and get comfortable" Cj looked at the nurse as if she was speaking Spanish and he didn't understand. Soon as the nurse walked out Cj waited about ten minutes and got up removed all the cords that was on him and put his clothes on and left. Cj waited outside the hospital in front of the bus, thank god the old man had left him five dollars in his pocket. Cj never imagined having to ever have to catch the bus he had two cars he was making almost five thousand a day and now that peanut was possibly going to jail who was gonna get the dope from the plug? Only peanut had the plug ,couldn't give him any information about it over a collect call from inside of prison. Cj knew the worst was about to happen. Cj got off the bus and go inside his grandmothers house " Cj what happened to yo arm man" Cj Little brother stopped aiming his toy gun towards the front door when he noticed it was Cj "nothing man go sit down some where,where yo grandma at?" Cj walked towards his room " she in her room and Shonda came this morning looking for you" "alright" Cj opened his room door to find meme sitting on his bed " Cj you alright man? I just got here Chris let me in and what happened, you good?" Meme hopped up in stood in front of Cj looking confused at his shoulder. " why you here man of my girl catch you here it's gone be something man you Tripping man why you ain't at one of yo other niggas house?" Meme sat back on the bed rolled her eyes. " Cj why you do me like that Cj took his shirt off to put on a clean under shirt meme get up walk over to Cj and gets on her knees starts unzipping his pants "man you tripping" Cj backs up on the wall meme sticks all of Cj inside her mouth strokes back and forth steady Cj starts to moan she grabs Cj hand and puts it on the back of her head and she says seductively " tell me how you want it" Cj takes a deep breathe and starts pushing meme head faster "what the fuck man" Shonda bust inside of Cjs room jump over the bed and grabs meme hair meme starts punching Shonda in the face meme gets on top of her Cj pushes meme " man get the fuck off my girl man" meme put Shonda in a head lock to stop her from trying to hit her " man tell yo hoe get off me then for I beat her ass" " fuck you hoe get the fuck off me you dirty bitch" Shonda is still wiggling trying to attack meme. Shonda and meme both is breathing hard and Cj can't even break it up with one bad arm after a couple seconds of holding each other's hair meme let Shonda go and walked right out of the room and left the house. "I'm done with you man I swear to fucking god man. My kids are dead and it's because of you and you don't even care" " what the fuck you mean I don't care man Shonda don't play with me man I'm telling you man not bout my kids"
"Where were you when I needed you you never around you only care bout yo self" Shonda started to cry "man the fuck nigga that did that shit dead man fuck you talking bout" " so now what you want a mother fucking trophy?" " I want to move on crying bout the shit ain't gone help nothing" "you know what you walk around like you this big bad ass wolf like you ain't got no feelings like you god. I never should have let you into my life because of you and yo bull shit the only thing I was proud of in my life is gone and you think it's better now because you went to continue on with the foolishness?" Shonda yelled tears kept pouring down her face Cj stood there in shook his head trying to keep calm, Shonda raised her voice " it's never gonna end Cj you just don't get I'm not waiting round for you to die" cj cut her off " man is kill or be killed man I don't give a fuck about none of that shit you saying I'm ready for a nigga to come. You knew this how I was living before you came into my life man don't play dumb y'all hoes only want one thing man fuck everybody it's every man for they self" Cj dropped a tear and wiped it off fast sucked in his emotions "you know what Cj fuck you okay I never wanted yo money and you know that I never asked you for anything before we had kids, nothing.i been with you for six years and you gone do me like this you gone a bitch who live one block away from me in here with you not 24 hours after our kids die are you serious? You right every man for them selves" Shonda grabbed her bag and walked out the house. Cj realized at that moment Shonda was serious and he probably wouldn't ever hear from her again. Deep down inside he didn't want it to end that way, Shonda was good to him she didn't deserve any of it, the lies, the cheating, she disrespect. Cj knew it was because of how he was living but he couldn't take time back. Cj fell asleep on the bed for a few hours because that's all he could do. " Cj peanut on the phone for you" Chris bought Cj the house phone "yo?" " man they just gave ah nigga 15 years man" although they were talking over the phone they both dropped there heads towards the ground and shook there heads. "Damn man what's the bond?" "No bond" "man we gone be old as fuck when I get out this bitch" they both laughed
"40" Cj chuckled. "Man that's old as fuck man nigga got shit to do" "you know uma keep something in there for you" " alright man keep ya head up" Life couldn't get any worse. Problem after problems and now with peanut in jail how was the money suppose to come in Cj thought to himself.
