Beth's POV:
"Beth! we're going to be late!"
Yelled My best friend from the bottom of the stairs.
"Damn it, Bradley! It's fine we still have 7 minutes, I just need some time..."
I yelled back at her, I've been looking at myself in the Bathroom mirror for a good 45minutes now. Saying the goodbyes to myself cause I knew I'd never be the same again.
"Beth, come on!" Yelled Bradley once again.
"Hold on!" I yelled, in a loud but shaky voice of sorts... There was a moment of silence before I heard Bradley in her high heels stomping up the stairs. She then opened the Bathroom door and held it open for me to walk out. She looked at me and with a sigh said:
"Come one Beth its time to go."
We walked down the stairs together, when we reached the bottom, Bradley looked at me and said in a hushed voice: "Get the matches..." with a tear running down her right cheek.
I walked into the kitchen and opened up the box above the stove that my step dad made a few years back before he put a bullet in his own head. There lied five matches and a lighter, the lighter itself wouldn't do much for what we needed done. I took the five matches and Pathetic lighter and handed them over to Bradley.
When she saw them, more tears started falling. She handed them back to me and got her words together and said: "Beth you do it, it was your step father's house."
I knew she only said that because she couldn't do it, not because I should or had the right to.
I lit the matches and tossed them into the puddle of gasoline along with the lighter . The house caught flames before they hit the ground. Bradley and I Bolted for our car and drove away as our home went down in flames. But it had to be done, there could be no trace of us left after this.
