Chapter 6: Connie and Stevens First Solo Mission

A/N hey guys i just want to let you know that the first chapter of the rewrite of leviathan and serpent is out and now im gonna focus on making this chapter before i start writing the second chapter of the rewrite and i want to let you know of a new schedule for this book that i will try to adhere to. See today will be starting the schedule of having a new chapter every monday and Friday and as long as nothing goes wrong and i dont get writers block then i will stick to this schedule so i hope you are exited

(Stevens pov)

          It had been one week since me and connie became boyfriend and girlfriend and here's how the gems took it. Garnet was happy for us and is supporting our relationship, amethyst more or less just teases us and pearl is trying to be overprotective and she is watching everything we do it a little annoying but its ok, she is just trying to look out for me. Me and connie were hanging out watching under the knife when pearl came into the room and said to me and connie "okay you two lovebirds I think it's time connie learned how to use her new gem powers so lets go to the sky arena"
          me and connie jumped down and headed to the warp. We warped to the sky arena and then me and pearl began teaching connie her powers. She was a fast learner, we taught her how to shapeshift, we learned that she had the ability to produce blue flames and she could regenerate minor wounds and bruises but now it was time for her to summon her weapon. "Okay now connie to summon your weapon you have to think of what represents you with things like what your personality is like, what is your most prominent feeling, what is your greatest virtue stuff like that and with this knowledge you need to think of the most logical way you would summon your weapon for example steven: he is a loving and caring person so he learned to summon his shield by thinking of the love he has for the earth and his friends" pearl explained

(Connie's pov)

          I closed my eyes and thought about myself and all my attributes and then I thought about my friendship with steven and all the things we've bonded over and then I though about my favorite book series the unfamiliar familiar and how I always wanted to be like her and I just started thinking about a weapon forming molecule by molecule out of my gem and I grabbed it, pulled it out and I opened my eyes. My weapon was a sky blue one handed rapier (picture at the top)
          "this is awesome!" I exclaimed swinging it around then pearl said "okay you two are ready" and then I looked up at pearl and asked "ready for what?" And she told us that me and steven were ready to go on a mission alone. We headed to the warp pad and then pearl gave us the details of the missions. She told us there was a gem powered valcano on an island and we needed to get the gem and take it out of the valcano before it erupts.

(Stevens pov)

          After pearl gave us the details we gathered supplies as it was gonna be a 2 day mission and then we warped off to our first mission together. The moment we arrived at the island there was a large monster there that was the size of one of jaspers monsters when we faught her so me and connie knew just what to do. We fused into stevonnie.

(Stevonnie's pov)

          The monster charged at me and I reacted quickly. The monster tried to hit me with its head but I knocked it off balance with my shield and then I peirced through it with my new rapier and set it's physical form on fire immediately poofing it. "Wow that was awesome, I think I like these new powers" I said as I bubbled the gem and sent it to the temple, then .i unfused

(Third person pov)

After connie and steven unfused they started heading through the forest and they battled a few monsters but soon the sun started to go down so they set up a camp with a tent and sleeping bags and they slept next to each other waiting for tomorrow so that they could finish their mission and stop the active valcano... to be continued
