Ninety-seven years after a nuclear apocalypse, the people on the Ark, also known as Skaikru, landed on Earth when their ship began running out of oxygen. They were led to believe that Earth was only home to plants and very few animals. What they were not aware of was the fact that humans still inhabited some parts of the planet, people known as Grounders (Skaikru's name for them), or Trikru (their name for themselves).
Promising to share their technology, Skaikru made an agreement with Trikru to allow them to share the land. Together, the two groups lived in Polis, even some in a place called Tondc. Though they share the land, they do not associate with each other much besides guard-wise, hunters, and medical units. The Trikru doctor named Nyko and the Skaikru doctor named Abigail Griffin share medical, helping people no matter which side they're from - Trikru or Skaikru, it was a person to save.
Because of their shared technology throughout the past three years, Trikru and Skaikru were able to recreate vehicles and make new clothing, even build houses and buildings. The Commander of the Trikru half of Polis, Anya, and the Chancellor of Skaikru, Marcus Kane, work together to create the same rules, give similar orders, and lessen the contrast between Grounders and Sky People. Said contrast could result in a civil war.
There are hunters, medics, builders, council members, guards, clothing makers, and cooks, and there are also ordinary people who just live without an extremely important, specific job tied to their name.
Lexa from Trikru was a prostitute for a man named Gustus when the Ark landed, but later became Gustus' girlfriend so that she had a place to live. She's lesbian, having no true feelings for Gustus. Her only friends are the other prostitutes and their parent figures, Titus and Indra, who only serve for Gustus for the shelter. He'd probably kill them if they ever tried to quit. Titus is their teacher. Indra used to be a fighter, but she was forced to quit when Gustus made her the medic and cook for the other prostitutes. She still has some impressive fighting techniques up her sleeve.
Clarke, one of the hundred prisoners sent down from the Ark to test Earth's survivability, became a doctor when the rest of the Ark came to the ground. Now she works in medical alongside her mother, Abigail Griffin of Skaikru. Her close friends help with research, cleaning, being a messenger, or fixing broken things. Everyone does something.
A few people have been lost, like Thelonious Jaha, his son Wells Jaha, Jake Griffin, and a few unimportant people.
Though it isn't wanted, there is a noticeable separation between Trikru and Skaikru. Only hunters, medics, council members, and guards interact, leaving everyone else sticking to their roots. Until they're forced to cross paths and don't want to separate again.

Hello, everyone, my name is Caitlin and this is the prologue to my first Clexa fanfiction! I am so thrilled to be sharing this fanfiction with you all. I've been working on it for nearly a month, figuring out the plot and what was needed to explain the setting, time, and relationships between Trikru and Skaikru in this fanfiction. After Lexa dying in the last ten minutes of season three episode seven, there's nothing I've wanted more (involving the 100) than to bring Clexa back, even if it's just in a fanfiction, so I hope you enjoy this! I'm uploading my first chapter tonight. Please comment and tell me how you feel about it. The first chapter is intense and dramatic, but chapter two is so different. Also, I switch point of views between chapters, so make sure to look for that! Thank you, I hope you enjoy!!
