Chapter 1- The Aftermath

After _Hacks was awarded his medal, I turned my mic on to congratulate him.

"Hey, good job. You deserve that medal. Not a lot of people can beat me...Good game." I said into my mic.

I waited a few seconds for his response. I can only say it was not what I expected.

A deep scary voice came from the other side. "I suppose...." He said. "You remind me of my last contestant...mind playing with me?"

I was a bit confused.

"How about on Black Ops?" I asked cautiously

"Heh....sure bud. Be prepared." He said.

"Okay...? I have to go eat supper. I'll be on tomorrow at 3."

"Okay...bye kiddo."

I logged off and turned off my Xbox, then slid down the railing to the stairs into the living room. I smelt steak so I slid my socks across the hard wood floor into the kitchen and sat in my usual chair.

"Hey Stephen. How was the tournament?" My mom asked. I had told her I had a game competition today.

She sat a plate of steak, potatoes, and green beans down. I wasn't a big fan of vegetables, so I just ate the steak and potatoes.
My dad was at work so it was just me, my mom, and my little sister Alissa.
Alissa always gets on my nerves and bothers me when I'm trying to play. I love her, but she's a bit annoying.

"Put your plate in the sink and then go play with Alissa." My mom said.

"Okay..." I answered.

I walked my plate over to the sink and rinsed it off. After, I went upstairs to Alissa's room.

I see her sitting on the pink rig in the middle of her entirely pink room.

"Oh hey Stephen! Wanna play?" She asked.

"Sure. Let's build a kingdom out of blocks." I said.

Alissa kind of looks like me. Well...the eyes anyways. She has dirty blonde hair and bright green eyes while I have light brown hair and pale green eyes.
I got my looks from mom while she got hers from dad. Whenever I hang out with her it reminds me of him.
She got out all the colored building blocks from under her bed. I picked up some of the wooden blocks and started building our castle.

After we finished, mom came in and told me to go to bed because I had school tomorrow. I went into my room, laid down, and went to bed.

After school, I went to the kitchen, grabbed a snack, and went upstairs. It was already 3, so I logged onto Xbox live and waited for Hacks to send me a message.
After a few minutes he sent me a message.

H: You ready?

S:... I guess so =/

H: Put your hand on the power 'X' button.

S: ...?

H: just do it.

I put my pointer finger on the button and waited.

H: perfect. Now just keep your finger there.

I was confused. Why?

All of a sudden a green mist swirled out of the corners of the X. It went all across the room in a circular motion.

What's going on?! I thought.

All of the green slowly turned into black and clouded my vision before all I saw was darkness.
