Into the darkness I went. Leaving the familiar, warmth of my childhood home to adventure forth to the cold and cruel world around me. Taking with me what is most necessary for the return may be along set past it's due time. Why I put myself up for such torment each and almost everyday is something I can't even explain but I continue advancing knowing the outcome of my daily duties will (hopefully) one day help me succeed in life (which I doubt).
But for now, as I plug in my headphones and click on play, my thoughts are all occupied by the melodic sounds of Simple Plan, Jetlag.
My Mission: School.
Day: Friday.
Feeling: Crap.

"Heyyyyyy Terraaa," A hand proceeds to poke my cheek. Who in the right mind would touch me.
"Look, you better answer me or else," Oh, that's who.
Kader MacGyver Palusa or just Kade if you want to live, has been my best friend since grade school. He's stocky in build with a messy mop of dark black "surfer dude" hair, childish face, and emerald green eyes.
"Princess, if you don't answer me in the next 10 seconds I will flip" Kade said again.
"Alright, Alright. What do you need?" I replied batting his hand and pulling out and ear bud to hear better.
"So do I finally have your attention now?"
"All ears" turning to him as he slips in the the gross gray bus seat.
I'm still not sure how we even became friends but whatever the reason I'm thankful for it.
"Marissa just broke up with me and I need advice from the Doctor Oz of relationships." He said jokingly.
"What? Again? What happened?"
"She keeps flirting with that guy Julian and I told her that I didn't like it and she just flipped out on me."
"I'm sorry, I really think you should let her go. She doesn't seem....What's the word....oh stable."
"Hilarious but sadly you are right. Fine I'll try to stay away, happy?"
"Very." The bus came to a screeching stop at the school and the mass of people scurried off.

Walking through the hallway all you could hear was that chatter of adolescent everywhere. Talking about all sorts of topics. Sports, tests, home, complaining about school, extra curricular outside of school things with the other gender or even the same gender. But what's most prevalent is the discussion about the school's annual ski trip. 30 select people from each grade get to go and I'm one of them. I sense of pride washes over me as I was one of the first people to be asked if I wanted to go in the whole freshmen class. Turning down to the left I walk into my first period class of the day, Honors Geometry.

"Good morning" I yawned to my teacher Ms. Brennan as I took my seat next to her desk.
"Morning to you Miss Stellara" she responded back. "Did you get enough sleep last night?" I don't mind Ms. Brennan. Unmarried, thinner, kinda short, with pretty natural blonde hair and sparkling sea blue eyes to match. She's also my high school's volleyball coach. The only down side to her is that she's really peppy and teaches math. Two things I'm not a big fan of.
"Most likely not. I had to study for my Bio test today and finish the homework for World Geo. But I'm here now so that's good".
"That is very good. Don't worry. Things should get easier throughout the year."
By this time the rest of the students had joined us and Ms. Brennan had begun to start class.
