-Pony's P.O.V.-
I was sleeping so well. So, so, well. that was until I heard the roaring from the TV going on downstairs. The sounds of the train and the song of whistles let me know, all to well, it was Mickey Mouse playing on the TV. You'd think after another 2 years Two-bit would get tired of that show, but no. He's still the same Two-Bit; which means he's the same Two-Bit that doesn't have the common-curtesy to keep the TV down while people are asleep.
I threw the covers off my body and my feet down onto the floor. I got up way too fast, and wasn't fully awake so I had to rest my elbows on my knees and my eyes into my hands. After rubbing my eyes, I waited for my sight to come back before grabbing my jeans, that I left on the side on the bed, and putting them on. I stood up from my bed and looked around at my room as I buttoned and zipped my pants. I really need to clean my room.
I stepped down the hall where I heard Two-Bit's laughing obnoxiously at the same cartoon he's seen probably 83 times by now, at the least. Don't get me wrong, I love Two-Bit. He's one of my bestfriends, but he's a lot to handle in the morning. "Turn that down, Two-Bit. People are trying to get another hour of sleep in before they have to work."
Two-Bit jumped a little before looking over at me. "Yeah, sure. Hey, I've been meaning to talk to you anyway." He said before getting off the floor and going over to the TV to turn the knob that turns the TV off.
Two-Bit followed me into that he kitchen, and I started pulling out the various foods to make breakfast with. I looked over at him, "Two-Bit if you're going to try to embarrass me by giving me the sex talk again, don't bother. That joke is really old and no longer works, obviously. For all you know, I've probably experienced it a few times ." I said cracking and egg onto the skillet. Two-Bit laughed at first and then cleared his throat, almost looking a little shocked, "Oh, you were serious." I looked up from the eggs I was scrambling and lifted an eyebrow. A trick I got form him. Two-Bit merely smirked and let out a laugh again, to let me know he was joking.
"Laugh all you want, but when they scream for me they're not faking it." I smirked back at him and moved on the pancake mix. Once Two-bit's laughter died he started to talk again. "Oh as much as I'd love to get into this debate with you, Pone, I cant. I wanted to talk to you about my Cousin, Tamala."
I scoffed a little, "What about her?"
"Well, her dad got a job transfer here and her and her family are moving down here."
"Ugh, do they have to. Why don't they just drop her off in a side show or something. She'll be with her own kind."
"Now that's exactly why I needed to talk to you. Tamala is great girl, Pony. I don't know what brought all this on between you two, but y'all need to grow up and get over it. Hell, you're both about to be 18. Y'all ain't seen each other since y'all were twelve."
"Two-Bit, you're still the same person you were at 12. "
"Be that as it may, I'm being serious. Do you even remember why y'all don't get along?"
"I may not remember what started it, but I remember all the times she's annoyed the piss out of me since then." I replied, agitatedly, and started setting the food on the table.
"That was then, Ponyboy." Two-bit said already making himself a plate.
"Doesn't mean she's changed."
"Have you?" Two-Bit asked as he stuffed a quarter of a pancake into his mouth.
I just stared at him for a moment. "Im going to go tell Darry and Soda it's ready." I walked out not answering his question. 'Have I changed? Of course I have. I'm older, smarter, appreciate things more, more careful, have really gotten into my writing. Has Tamala changed to? I wonder how. Sure, there are things I like about her. The way she was always positive, her laugh, that smile. the way she...' I shook my head and knocked on Darry's bedroom door.
- Tamala's P.O.V.--The Next Week-
"Here let me help you with that." I heard my cousin say as he walked down my porchsteps, taking the box I was carrying, from my hands. He's been helping with the unpacking
"Thanks TuTu." I said, smiling at the little nickname I gave him. I cam up with it last time I was down here, and found out his gang calls him Two-Bit.
He looked over his shoulder at me and just smirked before shaking his head and carrying the box into the house.
Once we were done I plopped my butt down on the couch, and just as soon as I did Two-Bit comes back down stairs calling towards my parents "It was great to see you again, Uncle Danny and Aunt Fay. Don't worry I'll keep an eye on her."
I furrowed my brows in confusin, "What are you talking ab-"
Two-bit quickly grabbed my both wrist and pulled me off the couch and out the door.
"I'm taking you to the dingo. The boys are anxious to see you."
"Oh my goodness. Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked excitedly, jumping a little.
"Well, they might not all be anxious to see you..." he said rubbing the back of his neck.
I rolled my eyes, and stopped in my tracks "Don't tell me Ponyboy is gunna be there."
Two-Bit put his hand between my shoulders to nudge me to start walking again. "C'mon Tammy (the nickname he's given me) Like I told Pony, it's been 4 years. Give him another chance."
I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes, "I'll behave if he will."
Two-Bit hooked his arm towards himself, "That's the spirit!" Two-bit said excited.
"Why'd he even bother to come anyway?"
Two-bit shrugged as he continued to walk beside me. "I dont know. Curiousty maybe."
I looked up at the sky. The clouds were wispy. some were dark shades of gray, and others almost snow white, across a beautiful light blue sky. "Whatever." was all I could respond to Two-Bit.
"Oh C'mon, don't tell me you ain't a little curious about Pony now." Two-bit gave a meniousing smile and nudged my arm with his elbow. "I remember you having that little crush on him."
I unfolded my arms and pushed Two-bit to the side. Not enough force to actually push him down. Mostly just to joke with him. "Come off it Two-bit. That was long ago, and way before I found out he was an asshole."
"If you say so, Tammy." He said as he opened the door to the Dingo.
I walked through the door but didn't take my eyes off Two-Bit. "I know so."
As I finished my sentence I turned to look at the diner, and it didn't take long for me to spot the table full of familiar faces, even though they've grown little bit more mature.
Of course I was awe struck by the boy with auburn haired, and the green eyes that was just as stricking as they were before. I bet those grey speaks could still be spotted in them. I let out a small breath of air and Two-Bit stood next to me with his hands in his pockets, "Like I said, 'if you say so, Tammy.' "

Hey guy's sorry if this chapter is a bit boring! I'm mostly trying to get the story started and my writing skills are kinda rusty. Let me know of any grammer and punctuation edit's I might to make. Give me opinions as well! Favorite it or anything like that! It's all appreciated.
