Casse's POV

I locked the door and slid down it. I buried my face in my hands, my face hurt and it was soaked from crying. I looked at my hands and noticed how bloody and busted up they were, I couldn't believe that this had happened.

Tears poured down my cheeks as I used the wall to stand back up. I limped over to the stairs and stumbled up them. When I reached the top my legs gave out. My whole body was in so much pain I could hardly walk, let alone climb these stairs. I crawled into my bedroom and laid there on the floor, just staring up at this ceiling. I needed to control myself and get cleaned up before Luke, my roommate, came home.

I turned the shower on and began undressing, every move I made hurt so much. I stood under the water letting it wash over me. The tears, the pain, and the memories wouldn't stop. The warmth of the water hurt my cuts, making every move even more painful.

When I looked at my feet and saw dirt and blood running down the drain. Tears kept coming, I couldn't help but replay what happened not to long ago. I washed my hair, which I had to redo because there was still so much dirt in it, then washed my body. I continued to cry as I got out, no matter what I could do I couldn't help but think of what he'd done to me.

I finally took a look in the mirror and what I saw was absolutely horrendous. My right eye was swollen, my lip was busted open, there was a gash in my forehead along with a bruise, my arms were bruised and cut up, along with my legs.

I thought seeing myself like this would upset me and I would break down again but instead I got angry. I haven't felt like this since-

"Casse?" Luke's warm voice called from the front door.

"Yeah, I'm getting changed I'll be down in a second!" I yelled, rummaging through my drawers.

"Hurry up I have something important to ask!" He yelled as I put on a sweater and sweatpants. I looked at myself in the mirror one more time before going downstairs. There was no way to hide my face but the sweater and pants could hide everything else.

Not that I wanted to hide it from Luke but more like hide it from myself. If anything I needed to talk to Luke about it anyways. Luke always helped me through everything, he was honestly the best friend I could ever ask for.

I pulled my hair over my face hiding as much as I could before running downstairs to go see Luke. I went into the kitchen and he was standing with his back to me. I ran up to him and hugged him. His warmth comforted me for a moment before the pain began to kick in and the tears began to pour.

"Woah. What's up with you?" he laughed prying me off of him.

He turned around and his smile immediately was gone, "What... happened?"
