CHAPTER #17

    I'M NOT LIKE THE REST

I walked off the ride with a grin on my face. After my encounter with Carter at the cementery Clara invited me to her house for one of our girl night outs. 

We went to the movies to watch Insidious Chapter 2 again, and then went out for ice cream, after that we couldnt choose on what to do so she dialed Carter and asked for suggestions. 

That's how we ended up at the carnival..

We just rode the Zipper, and Clara looked like she would hurl anytime now. As for me, i'm prefectly fine, in fact, i'd love to do that again!

It's been a while since i hung out with Clara, just the two of us. Usually either Carter, or Jake would be with us.Which is why i was surprised when she called Carter and didnt even invite him with us.

"We are never doing that.." she paused to take a heavy breath, "Ever" she said sternly, her face turning pale.

I held onto her, considering that she might fall any second now... "Wanna go home? You don't look too good" i asked her as i threw her arm over my shoulder to hold her better.

She gave me a nod and we started making our way out. I didnt want to stay any longer if i was going to ride alone, plus, Clara really looks sick right now...

"There" i smiled as i tucked Clara into her bed. 

She gave me a forced smile, "I"m sorry i ruined our night out..." 

I chuckled, "Clara that was awesome, it may not have ended well but I had a blast, thank you" 

 I leaned down to hug her tightly before turning around and turning the lights off.

"Goodnight Clara"

JAKES POV

I sighed as i threw my phone on my bed once more. I spent the entire day calling and texting Julie and not once did she answer me.

I rested my head on my knees and thought really hard about this. They say people learn to love what they had once it's gone, so maybe if i leave her alone she'll remember all i went through for her and start to appreciate it and eventually talk to me.

Gosh, i hope she sees how blind i am for her. I've never been like this for any other girl and it's frsutrating the life out of me to be honest.

 "Honey, you've been locked up in your room all day," my mother said from the door of my room with concern, "You should go out with some friends or something"

I gave her a tired look, "Mom when i'm out of the house you demand i come home," i paused and watched her smile, "And when i'm here you want me out?" 

She chuckled and sat next to me, "No girl is worth ruining your fun" she says as she pats my knee.

I looked up at her, "Can't she just see i'm not like the rest of the guys?" i whined in a whisper.

Mom chuckled, "Why don't you show her?" she stood and walked to the door, I was about to reply when she cut in, "Just think about it.

I sat bad in my bed after my warm shower.

This is ridiculous...

I told myself over and over, if she wanted anything to do with me other than be my friend then she would just do it, I know she still has feelings for that guy but damn.

I sighed, mom's right though. I shouldn't give up, I should fight for what I love and that's exactly what I'll do, even though I know I will lose a lot of people on the way........

It's worth it Jake, it's worth it..

Hey Hey Hey!

Oh I wanted to update on Christmas and New Years but I had no time! :(

Anyway, kind of late, but Merry Christmas and Happy New Years! And Happy Holidays if you don't celebrate those. loll!

I'm back at school, less than a few months 'till summer. This year went by kind of fast for me, I haven't even payed attention to the days!

Anyway, for those who know and love O2L, I'll be starting a new story called A Little Faith In California!
