I hated this part. How could I not? I held onto Victor trying to savour our intimate moment before it was ruined again. Sean came up beside us and handed each of us a glass of Champaign. Ugh, this stuff was crap. But it was expensive crap which made it go down easier. With this many people that I didn't know all crammed into one room this helped to take the edge off. I sighed taking my glass from him and turning to tuck myself into Victor's side, he kept his arm around my shoulder and gave me a reassuring squeeze as he looked down at me. With a deep breath and a wink at me he looked up and cleared his throat. As he did the room fell quiet. I kept my eyes locked on his face so I wouldn't have to see all the faces staring up at us.

"Thank you all for joining us tonight!" Victor's voice commanded the room and the attention of everyone in it. "As you all know I've been keeping a bit of a secret for some time now. It's really a quite selfish secret, but I wasn't ready to share with the world yet. As most of you know I have been waltzing through life with this lovely lady by my side since high school. She has been my inspiration and my reason for living. She has made me fight to be a better man and a man worthy of her love. I wont say that it has been an easy few years, but they have been the best years of my so far short life. I have been blessed by not only an amazing girlfriend, but now an amazing fiancé. Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to introduce you to the future Mrs. Victor Morgan." Applause broke out around the room and everyone started moving towards us.

"I need to go to the bathroom." I tried to wriggle out of Victor's hold to get away from the crowd headed towards us.

"Princess, stay. Just get it over with. I'm right here. I wont let anything happen to you." As he said that both North and Mr. Blackbourne appeared beside me as if they knew what exactly was going through my mind.

The rest of the evening went by in slow motion. We pretty much managed to avoid Victor's parents all night and dodged a lot of the congratulatory hugs. I finally got the chance to sit down and as soon as my butt hit the chair the boys were all beside me at the table.

"Can we go home yet? This tie is cutting off my circulation. I hate these stuffy events." Nathan was the first one to say what I was thinking. I looked over to Kota and Mr. Blackbourne to see what they thought I was secretly hoping they would approve.

"Well, if we all leave at the same time as Sang and Victor it's probably going to look a little bit weird." Kota laughed. "Where are we going tonight? Who's place?" As soon as we asked we all turned and looked at him. Most of us just rent and have our own apartments, but Kota was the first of us to buy a house. The apartments that we all rented were far to small to fit 9 boys plus me. He broke down and got a 2 bedroom starter house, but it had a huge open concept kitchen/living room and Gabriel managed  to pick out enough furniture that we all fit in the room comfortably.

"Alright, guess that is settled!" Sean clapped his hands as he stood. "Let's go. Sang, you find Victor and we'll meet you back at the house." They all grumbled, but got up. Sean gave me a quick squeeze and North came over and kissed the top of my head and just as fast as they appeared they were gone.

Now to find Victor. I scanned the room. No, room is too vague of a word. This is more like a house inside of a house. The whole room was a giant dance floor with tables arranged around the outside for the meal that we had earlier. The bar was at the back of the room which is where a majority of the men now sat. Near the front of the room was a set of French doors that led outside to what Victor's parents called a patio, but it was more like a real life version of the Secret Garden. I slowly did a lap around the room looking for Victor, it wasn't until I stepped out of the doors that I heard his voice. He wasn't alone, and I wasn't sure if I should go out and interrupt as all the people I knew at the party had just left for a movie night that we should be on our way to.

"I don't know what the fuck you think you're doing bringing that slut to this party and announcing her as your fiancé. This was not the time or the place. How dare you disrespect me in front of everyone that I know. You're an embarrassment and if you think a quickie engagement to this girl is going to change that you're wrong!" The voice alone tipped me off to who was out there with him let alone the words. I had no idea that Victor's father was still like this. I suck back into the bushes beside the main doors and reached for my phone. Of course tonight would be the night that I didn't have the phone on me, it was in my purse which Sean and Kota had taken with them when they left. I kept leaving it all over the place and when Kota picked it up last time Sean had offered to just put it in the car. Shit, shit, SHIT! My mind was reeling. How was I supposed to help Vic when I couldn't even call for help.

The sound of a fist connecting to someone pulled me from my panic.

"You stupid little shit! I should..." Before he could finish that sentence I stepped out from behind the bushes.

"Vic? Are you out there?" I pretended like I didn't hear a thing.

"Yeah, Princess. I'm here. Are you okay?" Victor sounded worried about me.

"Yes of course," I said as I approached him. "I was just wondering if you were ready to head out?"

"That sounds like a good idea. We should go say goodbye to Mother before we take off though." He walked towards me without another look at his father and laced our fingers together, his thumb rubbing over that spot above my thumb as we walked. He found his mother quickly and we said our goodbyes. We walked out of the house hand in hand.
