The sun was starting to set over the water as the air around me started to cool. Thank God for that because this whole face of make up that I was forced to wear was starting to melt. How did some women do this every day?!
"Sang baby?" Hearing North's nickname for me snapped me back into reality. I knew it wouldn't be long until one of them found me. I relaxed as I felt his presence get closer, and leaned over to put my head on his shoulder as he sat down on the edge of the dock beside me.
"What are you doing out here on your own?" His voice was gentle and I could tell he was concerned about me disappearing without telling them.
"I just needed a minute. All of this can be a bit overwhelming." I sighed.
"Baby, you knew this what Victor's life consists of. I'm surprised you're not used to this by now."
"I don't think I will ever get used to Victor's money or lifestyle. I mean not his lifestyle but his parents lifestyle."   I spun the ring on my left ring finger. Stupid oversized rock that I didn't even need. All the boys had gone in on it. I'm honestly surprised that they all managed to find a ring that they all agreed on. 1ct for each of the guys. Honestly. For a small girl I was surprised I could keep my hand up.
"Do you think we're making a mistake? Why can't we just leave things as they are now? I'm comfortable like this." North sigh.
"Fuck, Sang baby. You know I would take you out of here in a second if i wouldn't get my ass handed to me by the guys. We need to do this for Victor. Do you need more time? Because I can feel my ass vibrating like crazy and I don't think Kota will take it very well if I don't talk him we're on our way back to the house."
"House?!" I squeaked. "That's not a house it's a fricken mansion."
North's deep chuckle and smiled warmed me.
"Come on, I'll text him and let him know we're on our way back."
I couldn't help but sigh, I really didn't wanna go back. North helped me stand up. The pale pink silk floor length dress smoothed down my hips and fell flawlessly. North pushed a look curl out of my face. He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to my lips. I melted. Literally. He pulled away and held out his arm and gave me the most beautiful  half smile I've ever seen. I placed my arm through his and we made our way back to the house. North didn't say another word just punched s response into his phone as we walked.
When we got to the doors we were met by Kota, Sean and Mr. Blackbourne.
"Sang!" Kota staged whispered "where have you been! We have everyone out looking for you! It's time for you and Victor to give your speech." As he said that my shoulder rounded. I was so tired, I just wanted this night to be over already.
"Come on, Pookie." He grabbed my arm and let me into the ballroom and as soon as I looked up my eyes locked to Victor and I relaxed and went to him. He wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed the top of my head.
"Come on, Princess. Let's do this."
