Chapter one

My mind drifted to two and a half years ago... The morning of the decimation... I remember the anger that swelled up inside of me. It

was I humane torture, and I would not stand for it. " what do you mean you don't have change for a hundred?!" I yell at the delivery

man. I take the pizza and yell at James to pay for it. James got off the couch and planted a slow gentle kiss on Jenna's head, followed

by a fast painful punch to Shaun's left shoulder. Shaun took the opportunity to try a little flirtation with Jenna while he was gone. As

she wakes I say " Baby, did you fart? Because you blow me away!" He said. "You brat. You're only sixteen and that was the" she was cut

off, " worst pick up line in existence?" James suggested after getting back. " yes. Exactly." Jenna said. They were about to start some

20+ make-out session when my mother walked in. Her posture was frightening, yet firm. " I hate to interrupt your little study date, but

I need to go to work, and I refuse to leave you two alone. So, you and your brother are coming with me. " my mother's firm voice cut

through the awkward air. "I'll miss you" Jenna says. My father strides in just as they are having their " goodbyes" and makes a

snorting sound to break them up. He laughed ,and his American Airlines pin fell on the ground. Jenna finally released my poor

brother, and headed home. So, as we piled into my Cadillac Escalade, I listened to Lady GaGa mixed with dad's dumb relationship

advice for the last time. When we entered the familiar building,I looked up at the massive monster on the wall next to me. I study my

mother's face for only a moment, noticing her plump blonde hair ( that was either dyed, or a wig, she would never

tell ) and her stunning complexion ( product of Paul's plastic surgery clinic ). My father's arm is wrapped tightly around her, and she

looks into his big blue eyes with a sweet face. It was so rare for people to be born with eyes so blue and hair so dark, but my father did

make it work. James is on the phone with Jenna again, and they are comparing who's the cutest. Honestly, with his strong build, wavy

blonde hair, and bright blue eyes, he could have any girl he ever wanted, and he chooses the clingiest girl in Chester city. But she is

really hot so I guess I understand. I brush the brown hair out of my eyes to see the employees. After two years of my dad having this

job, people around here finally respect me. I'm not the bratty son of the Co-CEOs that's new to the whole rich thing anymore, instead

I'm the bratty son of the Co-CEOs that's used to the whole rich thing. Even with their minds focused on me, I can't help but loose focus

for just a moment to study my face. My face looks free of zits and my eyes in full color. My cheeks are high as always, and I see only

handsome. As we make our way past the rows of cubicles, with flight attendants and pilots offering us breakfasts and hellos, we walk

towards the left wing. This is the customer service sector. My mother is good at making people feel like they're worth more than they

are. Except when she's firing someone. " I'm tired of seeing these reports", she slapped a newspaper with "American Airlines Scandal"

written across the top on the table," I can't tolerate the fact that for the second time this year, you were caught drinking while flying!

You could have killed everyone on that plane!" She screamed. " Find another airline to work for and don't come begging to me for an

outstanding reference! Good day to you sir!"she said with dominance. It was amazing how my mother worked. " I'm going to go to the

plane he was piloting to gather evidence for the police. Shaun, come with me." She said. I obeyed but not without a grunt, and a snort.

As we entered the cockpit of flight 157, I sat in the pilot's chair and began playing cookie clicker on my phone. Suddenly, my phone

changed its screen, and so did my mother's. A face appeared on it. The face was not easily recognized, because the person had a vail

over their face. " Greetings free people. Americans. The word sizzles like fire in my mouth. My name is unknown to you, but those of

you that live until the end of the day can call me the leader of the new world.
