Mya caught herself doing random things in her room as she talked on the phone with Jordan. Why am I lying upside down from my bed? She asked herself as she sat up.

"I'm just saying," Jordan said, "if I ever get a chance to take you out again, I'm going to go all out. It'll be better than our first date."

He'd took her out on a date a day after they met because he was in the process of moving to California to for work. He didn't have much time to spend with Mya once they'd met. Except for the night after they'd met.

He wanted to take her out on a romantic dinner near Bourbon St. and then on the ferry to ride, and then later a tour above the city in a helicopter. She told him that was a but much for the first date. She insisted that they'd go to a hole in the wall restaurant and a walk in the park. Nothing major.

After their date, he knew he had to keep in touch with her. So he made sure he established a friendship with Mya.

"Awe," she blushed. "You don't have to do all of that. You know I'm just a simple kind of girl."

"I just want to show you a good time. That's all." He said. "I still hate the fact that I had to leave soon after I met you."

"Us keeping in touch was well worth it. Don't you think?" She asked.

"You're right." He agreed with her.

"Oh, I know. You don't have to tell me." Mya giggled. "And besides, I wouldn't mind making a trip out their to Cali. You know I've nerver been."

She and Jordan have been friends for over two years now. It was clear that they were interested in each other their only problem was that the distance between them.

"Who are you talking to?" Cassandra, Mya's roommate, walked into her bedroom and sat on her bed.

"None of your business." Mya frowned.

"Ugh! Attitude much?" Cassandra stretched across Mya's bed.

"Hold on J." Mya removed the phone from her ear.

"Um, may I help you?" She flicked Cassandra's face.

"Let's go out tonight. I don't want to stay in." She wined.

"Okay, Cassie, let me finish talking on the phone and you go get ready." Mya pushed Cassandra off her bed. "Hello?" He put the phone back to her ear.

"Yeah." Jordan responded. "So y'all going out tonight?" He asked.

"Damn, you're nosey." She laughed.

"You're right. I surely was listening." He admitted. "Where y'all going?" He asked.

"Out." She answered as if he didn't need to know more.

"Out where?" He asked.

"Out to mind our business." She laughed.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," he chuckled. "Don't be out there cheating on me." He joked.

"Oh I will never cheat on you sweetheart." She playfully flirted.

Mya was glad to have a friend like Jordan to have a good conversation with. He always kept a smile on her face. That's what she loved about him.
