JUSTICE LEAGUE: NEW LEAGUE RISING.

CHAPTER 1: METROPOLIS

It was a bright and sunny day in Metropolis; the weather was perfect for anyone to take a walk probably with a friend or special someone but it was impossible.
Why? Because a tall man in a suit of armour with the colour purple and green as the domineering colour wouldn't let Metropolis as well as its people get the peace they very well cherished. Yes, everyone was familiar with the one and only man with great detest for superman and a head so bald, you could actually see the blinding reflection of the sun from a mile away. His armour was something different. It was no longer something so huge that made him look like he sat in it to control the limbs with some built in levers. it was however fitted to his body, and had a kryptonite laser canon on his right shoulder built specially for the man of steel.

Metropolis had become a scene with explosions, and unstoppable wreckage caused by missiles and the thrusting of cars onto the streets and in the air as they flew like paper planes that never stayed in the air long enough without crashing.

"Come out of hiding Superman! I know you're around!"
Lex roared with a cocky and enthusiastic smile that showed all his teeth, as he launched missiles from every orifice of his suit. I have to admit. For a man who had such dirty schemes, he has a very white set of teeth.

"We have arrived at the scene where wealthy billionaire, and stark criminal and head of Lex corp, Alexander Luthor is causing terror on the streets of Metropolis. Where is our city's saviour, Superman?"

Those were the words of the ever beautiful reporter, Lois Lane. She stood head strong, courageous and pretty as ever in a white shirt with her sleeves rolled up, over a black skirt that barely covered her knees. She also had her hair banded up into a long, cute ponytail that flowed freely down her back as she held the mic gracefully.

"As you can see behind me, Lex is.......Wait! where are you....Oh boy."
Lois suddenly became aware of the armour van that was seconds away from crushing her. Lucky for her, the Man of Steel was right on time to stop her untimely demise.

"What took you so long? Perfect timing though. I almost thought I would have to catch the car myself." She said jokingly with a smile.

"I would have loved to see that." Superman said looking smug as he set the vehicle down beside her.
Lois strutted into a noteworthy pose with her right hand on her waist which for a second made her more attractive, as she rested all her weight on her left leg like a model and she waited for an answer to her question which seemed to be rhetorical to Superman.

"You could've been hurt, you know." Superman said as he walked towards her with a smile.

"I knew that before I started this job." she replied "But why should I when my knight in shining armour is...." she was cut off by a resounding explosion. "Hold that thought." He said in control of the situation.
"Okay. Whatever you say Superman" She said in a muffled tone that even Superman's super hearing almost couldn't catch due to the overwhelming rush of wind and loud explosions in his ears. He flew hurriedly straight for Luthor in his battle suit that the police were unable to slow down.
"Well, well well, look who finally showed up. I was just wondering what I'd have to do to get some attention around here." Lex started with a stance that showed his preparedness for anything the man of steel would throw at him.
"Well Lex, you've got my undivided attention." Superman replied as he stood not too far from the armoured terrorist.
Lex was quick to launch a dozen missiles at Superman who flew up with the missiles chasing him to prevent any unwanted damage while handling the missiles. Of course he was faster than them and waiting for them to hit him high above the clouds. But to his surprise, he fell to the ground with a big boom after breathing what he thought to be fresh air. Lex stood in front of him, with a cocky grin saying.
"Did you think I'd come unprepared Superman?" as he lifted superman by his hair and punched him repeatedly in his face. "By the way, that's kryptonite gas you inhaled". Superman heard these words faintly as he was taken by the leg and slammed repeatedly to the ground. He felt pain like none he had felt in a while. He suddenly understood what Lex felt everytime he had his butt kicked. With time, Superman was thrown to the ground and as he arose, he was seeing multiple images of Lex and couldn't attack. Lex made his way to Superman and threw multiple punches till Superman fell to his knees. Everyone watched in fear while superman was getting quite a beat down. Lois watched as superman was picked up again, and was held up in front of Luthor's suit. Luthor activated the kryptonite compartment of his chest and released a heavy blast on Superman's face. Lois couldn't help but scream "Superman!" to the already passed out man of steel. Jimmy Olsen was taking pictures with his new camera, and threw a rock at Lex who believed he had finally defeated Superman. Lex headed for Jimmy and leapt up as he readied his fist to deal Jimmy a deadly blow. Jimmy ran to avoid Lex's incoming attack which caused a an explosion that created a hole in the ground. The loud boom jerked superman awake as he slowly rose himself up, and raced towards Lex who was about delivering another heavy punch on Jimmy's face. Quickly, Superman grabbed Lex's arm before the punch could be delivered, and ripped his armour of his arm. As they were suspended in the air, Superman destroyed the kryptonite laser first, and started ripping off the suit piece by piece. Soon, the fight was over and Superman held the disarmed Lexi as he slowly descended to the ground. Lois looked at Superman who was loudly cheered for by the people. Superman walked towards Jimmy to inquire if he was alright. Jimmy simply smiled and thanked him for saving him at the time he did. Lois was looking at Superman with shock, and hope that was rekindled when he saved Jimmy. "Don't worry Superman, he's in safe hands." said the police officer who walked up to Superman with a pair of cuffs in his hands. Something had an odd feeling when he stood next to the officer but he overlooked It as an effect of Lex's kryptonite gas.
"Hi." Lois said still in shock at how Superman was still standing despite taking so many kryotonite hits.
"Can we just get out of here? Cuz you've got some explaining to do." Before any paparazzi could rush over to Superman for an interview or pictures, he had Lois in his arms and had flew up into the sky.

Soon, the cop car that had Lex in it had reached a dark alley and parked near an uncompleted building. "I told you Lex. I told you your plan won't work, but you didn't listen" the voice of the driver went with a smile as he alighted the car, and unlocked the handcuffs that bound Lex's hands with a loud laughter that scared every creature existing in the alley. "I know Metallo. You already rubbed the fact that you saved me from prison for the past thirty minutes. What more do you want?" At this statement, Metallo's laughter grew louder as he tore his prostetic skin. Metallo's laughter was so loud that lex wanted to punch him in the face.
