Shana: that's me

Merlin's pov:
It is the dead of night and freezing cold out and I am collecting firewood. "It I'll be great he said, have some laughs he said, catch an animal he said" I complained quietly and Shana agreed with me. I picked up another log. When we had enough we headed back to camp. I slightly warmed up by the time we got back because the fire was still going but I have no idea how cold Shana was. We placed the logs down and I went back to my bed roll. I did everything but I would fall asleep so I got up and joined the Knights, Shana and Arthur at the fire. We were laughing and talking and Gwaine is currently trying to me and Shana to tell them about our childhood. "So Merlin, Shana what was growing up like for you" he asked and I pointed my finger at him and
said "you wouldn't survive a day living like we did" and left it at that. "Oh come on, you have to tell us more now that you said something" Leon said and Shana shook her head and said "trust me, you don't want to know". Everyone looked at us weirdly but we shrugged it off. There was absolute silence for about a minute when Elyan said "at least give us a small bit about how you lived at what it was like". I sighed and looked at Shana who nodded her head. "Alright but just a bit" I said and Gwaine pulled out a snack and said "this is going to be good". "I'll start, so before we were born our father had to leave without knowing our mom was pregnant with Merlin and me" Shana said and I continued "it was hard because even at the age of 1 we would get nasty glares from the townsfolk". "As we got older it only got worse with the nasty glares to trash getting thrown at us to kids chasing us, not to mention all our chores as well" Shana said and sighed and the Knights and Arthur stayed silent. "It wasn't safe for us anymore so we left for Camelot" I finished and then Percival asked "did you ever find your father" and we nodded our heads and Arthur asked "where is he". "He...he......" Shana trailed off as she started to tear up. I leaned over and comforted her and said to the others "he died last year in my arms". Shana started sobbing harder and no one said a word as I held Shana in my arm while she cried. The only thing that was heard was her sobs. It wasn't long before the sobbing stopped, her breathing slowed down and her body relaxed. I put her to bed and walked back to the fire. It was then that someone spoke up. "You both were in Camelot when he died" Gwaine stated and I nodded my head and said "yeah we were". I stared at the fire not saying anything for a while then I went to bed myself.

Shana's pov:
When I woke up it was dawn and everyone else was asleep. I decided that this was a good time to go wash our dishes. I went down and lifted my sleeves up to reveal my scarred arms and I started scrubbing the dishes. When I heard footsteps I quickly pulled my sleeves down and stopped scrubbing. I waited only to find out it was just Gwaine and he looked surprised at me being here. "Hello, sir Gwaine" I said and he asked "Shana, what are you doing" "oh, just the dishes" I answered. "You better roll your sleeves up" he said and I nodded my head but he wouldn't go away. "Sir Gwaine, might I ask why your still here" I said and he said "I'm waiting for you to roll your sleeves up of course" and I fought the urge to roll my eyes. I slowly rolled up my sleeves just a little but so my you still couldn't see my scars and went back to washing the dishes. I heard him walk away and I let out a sigh in relief. I finished the dishes and went back to camp.
